The double vision is not a big deal.. what I'd like to point out is the audio quality of your video. THANK YOU for being one of the few people to edit out the excessive noise, and chosing voiceover!
*👀Great video. Perhaps the Gentleman that commented that you would have failed because of excessive penetration did not watch the video to the end. The penetration (shown at the end of the video) looked well within specifications. You stated in the video that two face bends were done and two root bends were done. It appears in the video that four side bends were done. It has been my experience that coupons of this thickness are always subject to side bends not root and face bends. You can clearly see after the bend test that there are no grinder marks on top of the coupons where they were bent. After the bent coupons were placed on the table you can see that the grinder marks are on the side not where they were bent which shows they were subject to side bends. Just an observation. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your videos.*
Hey my friend thank you for your comment! Yes, you right about side bend test, I did couple of tests that day, and didn’t even noticed that I've fudged that up. Thanks tho! 👍
These videos help out a lot. Can I request tacking and welding on olet? I did my first 5G position tig root walking the cup learnt it by watching your videos you and crazy welding are the best ones
Hey Matt, thanks for your comment bud I appreciate it, means a lot to me 🙏 For making my videos I do what I got at the moment, but I will keep your suggestion in my mind. Thanks once again and play safe 👍
The video and commentary was top notch Liked and subscribed I do my 2" sch 160 pipe test this coming Thursday. Ive put in a solid 3 weeks of practice. Still struggling a bit with being smooth and steady with the 7018. Are you pushing or pullling the puddle on the 7018 And 2nd How does one eliminate a bit of porosity here and there on the bottom. Im even striking my arc ahead and travel back to where i ended Thank you
Thanks for your comment brother . Maintain a good angle and “drag” the stick along the weld joint. With Rods like 7018 make sure to heat them up to get all the moisture out and keep a tight arc length!
What's your tips for seeing my 7018 bead (Cap pass) on a 2 inch pipe I'm always losing track of it and my caps are never symmetrical on both sides I'm using an apex pro but it's always on the right side of the pipe (I'm right handed) I always end up having a bad cap please help
Now doing this for a 6G weld test, what motion should i do, Straight, circles, zigzag? and should i use 1/8 7018 for more filler rod? Or Stick with 3/32 the whole way? Also should i try to start with big welds then stack or just stack the whole thing.
Man, I always forget to ask you, as you are from Europe, what’s the difference from working in Europe as a welder from North America? Have you had different treatment there and did you also use all welding procedures like you are showing us here? I have plans to go to Germany so that’s why I’m asking.. Thanks man✊🏽
Hey bud, It is little bit different in North America , they prefer more stick welding, but there is more and more TIG procedures involved in welding. Europe is majority Tig , lot’s of tig welding, there is also other welding procedures but tig is number one. If you are good tig welder you shouldn’t have any problems on sites. I spent couple years working in Germany and I can tell you that they are pretty strict about welding, very high quality standards and expectations . Definitely good choice to sharpen your skills. Treatment is the same everywhere, if they see that you know what you doing and if you got good skills, you’ll get respect.
@@X3MTIG Thank you brother for your answer!! I was thinking it is probably really strict in Germany, but I have to master my tig. I admire you so much, your welding is like art and you explain things so well! Thank you for always communicating with me! ✊🏽🙌🏾💪🏽

Hey bud thanks for your support, I appreciate it. I do whatever comes to my way, fitting or welding. Thanks for your comment bud, I agree with you, but for young people or not-so-experienced ones, a good habit to clean each pass or grind, until your arc welding comes naturally to you.
@@X3MTIG well you always clean every pass and grind the bottom start to check for hidden porosity, but you don't need to flatten every pass with the grinder like that.
As per 20 years of experience it will pass any X-ray, and visual, and bend test as shown in this video! Unless you working for NASA and they require no more than 1/8 of root thickness, but I doubt they would use 6010 rod, for rockets fuel piping!
Union Boilermaker’s Common Arc test you are not allowed to use any power tools all you get is a chipping hammer and a half round file I always carried a worn down sawzall blade in my pocket for dressing up the weld that the file could not get
@@Pipefitter666 You are right you also get to use a wire hand brush I retired after 35 years from Local 107 and and know what Im talking about have you ever taken a Common Arc test for the Union Boilermaker’s? obviously not

I’m using bridge road if available if not usually with 1/8 filler rod

1/8

You really don't need to grind that much with stick, only if there's a slag inclusion or porosity... I'd be there forever if I ground that much...
