@chelsey L It is not him for getting lines. He just likes audience participation and on certain notes that he is quite capable of because of course he sings in the play back, if he sang them all the time every night of the tour he would tear up his throat. So often times those notes he will let the play back play while he puts the mic into the audience so the audience can feel like they are participating.

The reason that song is so good is because it's so true as Dan said he wrote it during a rough time in his life and you can notice it because u can here the passion in his heart as he says each word by far the best band ever along with the best song ever
