Great content man. I was fishing that bridge yesterday, Labor Day and the current was ripping! To the point where it gets downright dangerous on a kayak, not to mention the inconsiderate boats that rip right by you without slowing down. Do you time your trips to specific point in the tide cycle? Just trying to figure out what’s the safest time to fish that structure. Got some monster porgies but quit after half a dozen due to the danger factor. Never have caught a sheepshead but it’s on my bucket list. Hope to see you out there!
Thank you man!. I fish at any time of the tides, I just used the bridge structure to protect myself from big wakes or ripping tides. I stay away from the middle since the ferry passes by there and it’s not worth the hassle. If you gonna use lighter jigs and gear fish the end of the tides and even slack tide. I’ll be out there this weekend.
I’ll try to go over my setup /jig/bait on my next video. Here I was running with 15lb braided line and 20lb fluorocarbon as leader which was a little heavier for the jig I was using. The jig was a 5/8 oz swing jig.
Nice video 🔥 I enjoy it a lot. Question where can I get those jig that you are using I’ve been looking for it, but I couldn’t find it if you have a link I would appreciate it very much.
Great video NYCE! I would like to fish that bridge but I'm a little inexperienced with the kayak to be in those conditions. Crazy how the the guys bashed you for blowing up the spot on your last video and you found some sheepshead today right around the corner. Ever tried shrimp for the sheeps? Only asking because that's what you catch them on in Florida. Again, great content and thanks for the videos.
Thank you man!. The spot on the last video is well known and gets pounded by all kinds of fishermen looking for porgies and tog so really I didn’t blow up anything. Just people like to feel special about catching a fish that has been in our waters for decades. It’s crazy they keep calling it an exotic species lol. I haven’t tried shrimp before, but I will give it a shot. The hardest part to get on sheepshead here is to get past those massive schools of porgy.
I didn’t measure it but I would say 19 or 20”. Check out how to find fiddler videos because I just found them by accident and I know they move their colonies if there is a lot of foot traffic.
I had to on this video because my audio files for that footage was corrupted. I had to edit a lot of video out. I tried music before on some videos and i decided against it so yeah, I won’t be using music on my videos unless something like this happens. Thank you for the feed back and thank you for watching brother!.
Nice Greg! Way to switch up tactics to get on that sheep!
Thank you Dan! The sheepshead are there it’s just a matter of getting pass the porgies.
Awesome catch!! Especially that sheepy.

Nice vid was wondering we’re do you get your bait as far as crabs go🥹😅

@NYCE_Fishing I hear you. Hopefully I see you out there one of these days.
Nice video…just curious do you lose a lot of rigs on the rocky bottom fishing under the bridge?
Thanks man! Actually I’ve been using the same jig for the past 3 videos lol.
nice catch!, did u see the sheep head on fish finder?
Nah, I was just using the fish finder to stay away from the big clouds of porgy.
@@NYCE_Fishing i think the crabs are key. never got one on sandfleas or shrimp

What’s the measurement on the sheepie I’m curious to know and where do you find the fiddler crabs
