Great trip. Went out yesterday afternoon with some crabs and caught some tog but didn’t find my first sheep’s head yet but most of my time was around the rocks and got to the bridge close to dark.
@ we caught 14-14.5 pretty steady with one keeper in there. Didn’t have a lot of day light but got to get out when we can. Might resist the urge to go back to the rocks and try the bridge first.
Man you had a magical day. I'm curious what day this was? I think I abandoned this spot too soon I started hitting structures closer to the inlets and have been hammering larger tog but haven't caught any sheep there . Last time out was this past Tuesday and I caught about 40 fish with a handful being over limit or very close to it.
@@realdealamsteel2047 I would have to look back at the GoPro data for what day this was to be honest with you, it was sometime during mid October. Interesting enough I hit this area three times in a row and had differing results each time. They are a funny fish, the latest I’ve had them in NJ was mid November but depends on water temp
@609Fishing I guess I need to hit those pilings a bit more. I don't like fishing them too much because of every reason you mentioned in the video but maybe that's been a mistake. I've also never went up to a 3/4oz jig there either so that should help with those small profile pilings and ripping currents. I have off a few days at the end of the week. Now I need to decide where I'm going .haha

@@pirrgang tautog bite has been incredible recently, sheep are going to be more hit or miss as the water temp drops

I’d love to get out there on my kayak. I am 30 mins from that area, but have no idea where ramps are down there.
