Hi Shawn you should modify your plasma cutter by putting a big fan on it. You can get a 12cm pc fan at 12v that would be ideal. That would pull huge amounts of air through it.

I would recommend a Chop saw like the Evolution. You can miter repeatable cuts that a clean and precise. I bought a spare blade at Harbor freight. A local saw sharpening place re-sharpens them if needed for a small charge. Very loud though. Much, Much better than the old abrasive chop saw I used to use.

I know this is after the fact. But half the battle with welding is making sure your settings are dialed in for the gauge of metal you are welding. With a nice machine like you got inside the door it will give you wire speed and volts for any gauge of metal within reason. Just make sure you know what wire you are running such as 025. Or 035. and if it’s Flux core wire or solid wire (MIG).

I've enjoyed all the parts thus far. Hard to find fault w/your process, and results. However, I do not think using the press/splice convenience connector was a good idea even if it was under the dash. Kudos for finding an available key-on, and ground in the same connector. You could have built on that good fortune and found a matching, (male if I recall correctly) plug/connector and wired your two cameras, and grounds just as if they were a factory connection to that plug. It would have given you the added benefit of simply unplugging the cameras' leads, and grounds if you ever needed to eliminate power to them. On other note(s) please, did you buy the truck without the U-Haul box, or did you have to remove it yourself? Also, please, how many miles were/are on truck.

Great job. How does insurance work out for you? Insurance for my schoolbus to RV conversion is a headache.

like always, enjoyed the upload. Couldn't help but notice, no A/C? I live in south Mississippi so forgive my ignorance to northern climate but I thought A/C was pretty much a standard option these days.. nevermind just saw the dryer while you were connecting the power. I just didn't see the A/C button on the dash is all.

This truck does have AC it's just got a small snowflake icon and on the blower selector. No AC button like on other vehicles 👍

Does the brake controller need to be level? I did one a while back and the instructions did say it needed to be.

My instructions didn't say it so I'm not sure. These pod controllers are at least 15 years old.

I'm sorry, but didn't the truck have all the electric wiring when you bought the truck; so why did you have to do all that extra work. Couldn't you have just shortened the existing wiring?

The wiring harness got wrapped up on the drive shaft when he moved the truck so he had to fix it.

Like William said, the harness got wrapped around the driveshaft...I had planned to shorten the existing wires but 🤷‍♂️
