I did Katahdin with last month with my friends just after graduating high school. Knives edge has to have been one of themost spectacular things I’ve ever done in my life
Beautiful scenery. It's interesting how the mountain is different from the Adirondacks in that there are no trees near the summit. I'm definitely going to have to do this hike someday.
Wow.. Great hike. Thank for sharing this beautiful hiking video. ❤It! I Got to go hike this mountain before I turn 30 or after finishing AD46 next year 2024
Awesome video! It definitely took me back! I went to Chimney Pond then up the Saddle trail to Baxter over Knife’s Edge to Pamola and down Helon Taylor. Next I want to do Cathedral up. You’re the first person that has filmed the chimney at the end of knife’s edge out of all the videos I’ve watched when researching it last year. Very well done! Congrats to Brian and the others on their NE115 finish 🎉 I can’t wait to go back soon. I love the ADK but Baxter and Acadia are my stomping grounds for mtns
I’m going up to katahdin this summer and am going to film a cinematic montage like you. Would it be possible if I could use one of your drone shots? (I would give you credit) I don’t have a drone and would really appreciate an areal view. Those are beautiful shots!
Great job Brian and crew. Nice footage, how did you like the chimney from Knife’s Edge to Pamola? I did it earlier this summer from the opposite direction Pamola to KE and down Cathedral (which was pretty steep too)
Question about parking there. If I arrive at 2:00 am to start do I need a reservation for a parking spot? Or is it only for day hikers starting from 6:00 am?
They won't let you in to hike Katahdin until the gate opens at 6 AM. The gate will be locked. However, you're more than welcome to walk the 7 mile gravel road at 2 AM.
*DRONE SHOTS* For those whom it may concern, all drone shots were captured in legal zones. I did my homework.
Awesome. Which trail did you guys do here?
Beautiful videography. I did that hike/climb in 1974. It’s great to get this perspective of the incredible scenery.

Awesome! Love the sun glasses too. What are they?
Awesome job! Thanks for documenting our finish. I’m sure this will go down as the best Katahdin video on UA-cam!
Lovely shots nicely captured 👌 great job 😘🥰
Well done, Katahdin is tough, I thru hiked years ago and also spent a summer on the Trail Crew at Baxter. Thats not an easy mountain.

Definitely my favorite mountain east of the Mississippi. Great intro for anyone who wants to try some stuff out west.

Curious; what frame rate did you use to film and export in?

Epic footage, the knifes edge always makes me cringe a bit.
