  • In this video, Byron discusses the Knife-leaf Acacia (Acacia cultriformis). Also known as the Knife-leaf Wattle, this striking ornamental plant is cherished for its unique, silver-gray, knife-shaped foliage that adds a textural and visual contrast to any garden. This drought-tolerant shrub native to Australia can grow up to 10-15 feet in height, and showcases a dazzling display of golden yellow flowers in spherical clusters during spring. Ideal for low-maintenance landscapes, the Knife-leaf Acacia thrives in well-drained soils and full sun, requiring minimal water once established. It's a perfect choice for adding year-round interest to gardens, particularly in xeriscaping or as an accent plant. Its hardy nature and attractive foliage make it a popular option for gardeners seeking resilience and beauty in their outdoor spaces.
