Interesting you bring that up because as an Aussie, Im struggling to "like" Oscar. I decided to watch this to see what he is like with two fun and engaging characters outside of the professional media world. I love Danny Ric and he is a big personality, the classic aussie larakin, and Oscar has more of a straight and narrow european type personality, or lack there of. Thats why he didnt do another year in karting. Five championships in three years as a rookie. 2015 MSA F4 champion, 2016 Eurocup formula Renault, Formula Renault 2.0, Toyota racing series champion in all three as a rookie, 2017 formula 3 champion again as a rookie. 2018 become reserve driver for Mclaren and comes 2nd to George Russell in his first year on Pirelli tyres that he had no experience of but beating three other drivers who became F1 drivers. They were on the screamingmeals podcast a few months ago. There are like some F2 drivers that hold that podcast and Pitstop Podcast were on it and they just violated Juan Manuel Correa and said that they didn't care about anyones racing history and their strugles or even learning about F1. They started this podcast just to get famous. they are not the people you think they are unfortunately
@papayakryddan5190 I have to say, I watched the screaming meals podcast after your comment, and this was a gross misrepresentation of the guys from Pitstop pod as well as what was discussed. Firstly they never once said they didn’t care about F1 or any of its history. They’ve been very honest from the beginning that they only gained interest after watching drive to survive so they’re just learning as they go with the podcast. Secondly, they never violated JMC, they simply just didn’t know who he was (To my earlier point of them still very knew to the sport and they even said earlier in the podcast that they just began to watch F2 the weekend before they sat down for that podcast). I think you’re taking their lack of knowledge (because they’re new, like many others) as disrespect but I don’t think you could be farther from the truth. They mentioned in that pod that they absolutely love the sport and are fascinated by all the things they’ve learnt while interviewing drivers and engineers and sky sports personalities and also remained very genuine and fun throughout that podcast as I’ve seen on theirs. You and people who make comments like these, are the reason I don’t take word of mouth at face value.
Great Pod! I honestly have to say that I am impressed how much you guys have evolved in such a short time in regards to the questions asked! I enjoyed this conversation, nice to get to know Oscar a bit more via this podcast. Almost a year after it was taking place, but better late than never! From RB fan I have found myself becoming more and more a McLaren supporter this year. I think it's not just the car and the "papaya"-colour, but certainly the two delightful young drivers. Those guys asking Oscar on whether they could get into F4 and then him explaining why karting is so important, I kinda understand what he's saying here because I honestly feel like I got my "karting experience" through years and years of racing online, as mad as that sounds. It directly translates to real life because it's still racing at the end of the day. Once you have the skillset and assuming you're both practiced at it to be competent and fit/conditioned enough to actual deal with a real car, most of racing wheel to wheel is more mental/psychological like most other sports, that aspect of competing with other people doesn't change. Thanks so much Maria!!
Great episode! The research done on your guest! Very professional podcast like. Only going to get bigger. Well done!
Nice long interview :). Hope you can get some Dutchies in your flat soon! For suggestions; the Dutch TV crew has entirely been renewed this year since they went to a different provider. So it's the first time in f1 for pitreporter Stephane Cox, and commentators Melroy Heemskerk and Nelson valkenburg
Congrats gents and Oscar! Another epic pod. Love how you guys go about these..super enjoyable.

2021 I was so invested into the f1 season with max vs Hamilton was honestly the best season I’ve seen.
2022 too me was bit of a let down as max dominated everything.
next year I’ve got that excitement again because I’ve watched Oscar through his junior career and I’m eager too see him go up against lando in his first season.
Looking forward to see him racing at McLaren 🏎🏁
Same! Such a great guy
Congratulations from Spain.
Thanks so much Juan!
Amazing ep so far lads
Thanks my friend!!
this was brilliant, would love to see lando on that sofa one day, alone or maybe even with oscar
Would be a dream!!
