  • Hello all,
    I am sorry if the quality of this video and audit is not the best after 3 attempts I thought for a first stitch with me this will have to do.
    With a little practise I will find a good way to do these and find topics of conversation to talk about.

    My gosh, I’m so sorry to hear about all the trouble you had with this video. Thankfully the third time was a charm, and it really was! I can’t imagine how hard it must be to talk (to yourself) and stitch, as well. I’m so grateful for all of your effort with these videos! You’ve taught me so much and have provided hours of stitching entertainment on top of it. 😊 I’m not sure of Fudge is still with you now but if so, give him a hug for me. ❤️

    This video turned out lovely. You are very blessed to have your daughter there to help you. My daughter used to help me too. She passed away at the age of 25. Instead of a wasted Sunday I think how lucky you are to have your daughter on that Sunday. Your stitching is beautiful. I love hearing you talk. You could read an old phone book and I would still listen lol

      Oh Laura I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter. I am privileged to have been blessed with a lovely daughter that helps me and doesn’t mind hanging out with her mum ☺️. Thank you for hanging out with me and I will be sure to try the phone book 📚 next time it might stop my rambling 😁

    The third time is the charm. It was well worth watching. Yes, I do know how you felt. I think we've all got to the end of the day etc, and you've not got anything achieved. I had one of those days the other day. I must admit I was ready to throw my crafting out. But like you, I tried again. Teresa, your life is more interesting to listen to than you think. Its nice to have someone talking to you about stuff while your stitching,etc. Please keep at the stitch with me videos, they are better than you think. 💖😊

    Thank you so much for all your efforts to get this video made. I loved watching you stitch and the music you had in the background was so relaxing. How nice that you have a daughter willing to help you and cheer you on. Being from the US I love listening to you talk about your life.

    Thank you for making this video after all the trouble you had. I can’t imagine! It is hard for me to watch TV and stitch and sometimes I even lose my place watching Flosstube but it is so nice to stitch with someone. I was bitten as a child and had a fear of dogs my whole life until my daughter grew up and got a dog. Now I have two ShihTzu’s Grand-doggies, who I love dearly!!

    Hi Teresa, I am so sorry you had a such a time of it with the videos - been there, and know the pain. But I too am so happy you persevered and made this video - your stitching is absolutely gorgeous :) I know I am weird but I love to watch other people stitch, and no, there doesn't need to be any sound, talking, music etc. It's extremely relaxing and inspiring as I can learn so much from watching other's techniques - so thank you :) Love that you take your dog for a walk at the retail park - I think that's wonderful!! I love your videos. I'm trying to binge watch and catch up. So this comment is a bit late. :) I love the stitch with me videos that are just stitching and music or no talking. Have you considered that? I love hearing you talk but maybe do some talking and some stitching. Either way I'll watch. :)

    I enjoyed watching you stitch while you chatted. What is the fabric you used? It seems like you get very good coverage with 2 strands and the half stitch. I caught your video unboxing of Annie's Keepers. I am ordering mine soon. What a great system. I don't like to bobbinate either. I am enjoying stitching again after a long hiatus. Thanks to you and others in the flosstube world.

    Hi so 2 over 1 is just hard cross stitch ...if so I have learned something now ...thanks for you hard work....x

    • @TeresaLittleStitcher
      @TeresaLittleStitcher  5 років тому +1

      2 over one can be done full cross or half stitch. It depends on your fabric count and what coverage you are looking for. so as an example this one is 25 count 2 threads, but i prefer 2 threads over one half stitch on 28 count. I also have another project which is 1 thread over 1 in full cross doing both legs and that is good coverage too. maybe I should do a video showing the differences side by side :)
      Thank you for hanging out with me!

    Wow, I can't believe all you went through to make us this video. Thank you. I am in my 60s but am new to crosstitch. I noticed that you are doing half stitches. Do all full coverage pieces do this. Does the pattern tell you to do that. Do you do half stitches on the whole pattern. It just seems so much faster.

    • @TeresaLittleStitcher
      @TeresaLittleStitcher  5 років тому +2

      Hey Patti! Most full coverage pieces you can stitch in full cross or tent stitch (half stitch). Usually you will keep the count higher so the coverage is good. I have found my preference is 28 count using 2 threads, but this one is a lot easier to see and is 25 count with 2 threads. Full cross or tent stitch is personal preference. Hope this helps explain. :)
      Thank you for hanging out with me!

    • @TeresaLittleStitcher
      @TeresaLittleStitcher  5 років тому

      Hi Theresa! I am stitching this in tent stitch which is like you said just the first leg of a full cross. It is faster to stitch on full coverage but full cross is a little easier to work out your holes if your new to stitching - that said I have switched from full cross to tent stitch and it is going fine.
      Thank you for hanging out with me!

    • @TeresaLittleStitcher
      @TeresaLittleStitcher  4 роки тому +1

      Hey joy it is totally your own preference. Some people swear by full cross others due to the amount of time they take to complete do tent stitch and love the results and how much faster it stitches up. My only advice would be make sure to test stitch to be sure which way you prefer.

    Are you doing half stitches, and what is the count on your Aida. I'm asking because I'm thinking I would do a full coverage project and full stitches is a lot of work, also I was thinking about using a 18 count instead of 14, would love to hear your opinion.

    • @sewlivi
      @sewlivi 5 років тому

      Sylvia, she is stitching on 28 count easy count fabric. It is an even weave. I use the same fabric for my full coverage. It's lovely. She is also doing the tent stitch which is a half stitch....2 over 1. Hope that helps.

      Hi Sylvia! This one is stitched on 25 count (my other project is 28 count) 25 count is easier to see, but after using 28 count I prefer the coverage - hope that helps. Yes i am doing this in half stitch and it makes it much faster to stitch
