Good to know and a few chuckles along the way because it is you Teresa afterall. Thank you for sharing and since we are over 70 and just got our first shot here is the states, it's good to be encouraged and view it from our children's standpoint. Don't worry. Your views were totally what everyone is dealing with too. Hold on little sister. You're doing great! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.
Always wonderful to see and hear from you❤️. Please don’t apologize for your Covid talk. It’s on all our minds in one way or another. Prayers and positive thoughts for your In-laws. The same for your Mom. I hope the Covid skips right over her. I always learn something and enjoy your relaxing stitching. I realize I am about to make a dangerous statement but (I would love to see your cards). I can’t afford many more rabbit holes in my life time wise or money wise.😁🤣😄😊 but I must say I am intrigued. Stay safe and thank you for sharing you time and talent.
Oh dear..What a tough time you are all having. Hope your Mum and Dad In-Law pull through. Yes, you did make sense. Love the stitching, of course. Keep safe, you are doing the best thing.
So glad to see you stitch and so sorry to hear about your mother and father in law, hope they are a lot better now ! Yes I am a stitcher and paper crafter too and would be so happy if you do both in the video's. Stay safe Teresa !!
Great job! I’m fairly new to your channel but love your videos and the info you provide on cross-stitching. I recently started up stitching after a number of years of not doing it and you are helping me remember things I’d forgotten and learn new ideas. I feel like I’m listen to a friend. ❤️ from 🇨🇦
You're my new favorite podcaster! I am back into cross stitching after a 25-year hiatus, and my oh my, how things have changed. I remember only having access to whatever crappy kits were in the local box store, or through the Mary Maxim magazine. I love Heaven and Earth Designs, and can't wait to try my first full coverage project!
I love watching you stitch! I stitched on my Chattelaine while you were stitching. I live in the USA and watch you often. I'm so sorry things have been tough for you. I hope that everyone is well now. Take care!
Hi Teresa.....glad your well ....hope darron s mom gets better soon ....lovely stitch with me ......hope you do more ...look after your self....stay safe .....hugs .......
Sending good thoughts to you and your family. Thank you for sharing, and I love your videos. Stitching and being able to share what life has thrown at you is good for your soul. I’ll be here to listen. Hugs!
Teresa I may not always comment but I always watch and I just want to say that I'm sending love and positive thoughts to you and your family. I'm sorry to hear you have all been going through such a scary time. Thinking of you all 💕
I’m in the US and worried that the worst is still to come. Of course you had to share what’s happening with your family. The frustration of not being able to visit must be horrible. I enjoyed stitching with you - you on your tiny stitches full coverage and me on my 14 ct Aida 2” by 6” bookmark! 😂 And I would love to see your cards. I love watching paper crafting too.
Nice to see you. Thanks for the updates. Sorry to hear about your in-laws . I hope they are recovering well now. 😊 I’m 59 and in the CEV group for vaccines. I had my 1st one last night. I found it very well run and efficient . I feel very lucky to have had it and am 1 step nearer to being safer. Also fortunate that my vaccination centre is only 1 mile away...I can’t imagine how hard it will be for others who have to travel many miles to get it...☹️
😲 THAT looks overwhelming! I’m guessing it relaxes you more than stresses you out? I’m completing a 56 color stitch and designed my own ore threaded needle holder with each bobbin hanging next to the needle so that’s been helpful. I’ve been stitching since the late 70’s and I’m still trying to attempt larger stitches but my eyes are not the same and so that also slows me down. Glad I just found you.
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I recently returned to stitching after 25 years. My first love is card making. Been doing that since 1990. Wonderful love for you to show off your cards.
Catching up on earlier videos and this video was not depressing at all. It was nice to hear that other people are having the same hard times with regards to getting and locating shots or family members having Covid and how hard it is to get them treated. My father died from covid the day after Christmas which he only had 2-3 days and was perfectly healthy before getting it...he was 83 years old. Nobody was allowed to be there with him. You are doing the right thing by taking this seriously and sheltering your mom and other family trying to keep all safe. Im still praying about your recent surgery and that all has gone well. Looking forward to your next video, but until then will catch up on earlier ones I haven't seen yet. Hugs from Texas in the US
Hey Jodee, Thank you for your lovely message. I am so very sorry to hear the sad news about your Dad. I wish more people would take Covid more seriously. It is as if people don't believe any of it until they know someone they have lost from it - it is so heart-breaking. I am now home post op and so far not feeling too bad, but will see how it feels in the coming days. Fingers crossed with all this sitting around I will get to do some stitch-with-me's and live streams so I can chat to people ;) Take care and stay safe!
@@TeresaLittleStitcher So glad all is going well 😊 . Will be looking forward to your next video. Hope your able to get some sleep this time around and not as much swelling. Continued prayers my friend...I will be here when you return, you are the highlight of my day when I have a notification ofa new flosstube or stitch with me. Until then will be catching up ...🥰
So Very Sorry to hear about your In-laws. Prayers going up for all of you. I have lost two best friends due to COVID just recently and one Relative due to a Massive Stroke. It’s been rough the last few weeks. I love this Video - I love watching your SWM Videos. I just prefer to watching your Floss Tube Videos including your SWM Videos as well. I love your WIP - this is going to be so pretty. I have been staying home as much as possible myself. I only go to McDonalds - DG - Dollar General - and that is about it. I wear my Mask everywhere I go when I do go out. McDonalds I go through the Drive Thru - I don’t go inside. Stay Safe - Happy Stitching ❤️🪡❤️
Hello, so good to see you again or at least hear your voice. Sure hope your in-laws are getting better. Stay home and stay safe Happy stitching and crafting Patty
I'm sorry for all your family has been through. I'm hoping your mother in law is 100% soon. Your videos are such a delight! I love the Josephine Wall pattern you're doing.
So lovely to see a new vid pop up. Sending healing thought to your family and so sorry you have all had such a tough time. 100 stitches is fantastic progress!
I love watching you stitch I actually joined in with you, but I do look forward to seeing you do new videos, hope your mom in law is better soon sending hugs to you and family stay safe and look forward to next video xx
I started out paper crafting and now also stitch so would love to see what you’re doing with your paper as well as your stitching! Love this format of stitch-with-me. Just enjoyed my Sunday morning stitching my HAED with you! Hoping for the best for your family💕 and that the vaccine finds us all soon! Love from Southern California!
Thank you for the video. Sending thoughts and prayers to you, Darren and all your family. I am with you here , I am teaching on line at the University and not moving out the door and my stitching has suffered a fair bit. I seem so tired. I am knitting as it's easier than getting set up on the lowery. I also bead a lot. So do whatever gets you through. I live alone so I am fortunate I am enjoying working from home. My elderly neighbour was told to get a taxi for her vaccine. I am in Sussex and it's no easier here. Stay safe and well lovely.
Hi hun lovely stitch with me hope ur mil recovers fast sending prayers hun Stay safe godbless ❤️😘😘 oh gosh home schooling is hard the maths kills me 😂🤣🤣🤣
Love your videos, but my wish list gets bigger every time I watch. LOL. Sorry to hear about Covid - sending get well wishes for all, stay safe. I LOVE my cricut maker - so much fun and so versatile
Such a beautiful design. What a nice idea, delivering meals to the family and kids seeing Grandmother. So sorry your in-laws are ill. Not sure if you've seen videos from David Abel. He and his wife got Covid on the Diamond Princess and spent time in hospital in Japan. I believe his videos were done in January/February 2020, but continues creating different videos. He practices a way to improve his lungs and breathing to avoid ventilator. Both recuperated well and live in England as well. Prayers to you and your family!
So happy to see you ... I mean your hands 🤣🤣🤣... hope your lows will be better soon, all the best... it was nice to see you... take care Teresa ... ❤️❤️❤️
Christmas was not fun here either. We ended up having a virtual present opening with our kids and grandkids. It was rather sad but at least we got to see everyone
Yay a stitch with me, Working on my Mira winter queen listen to you talking, I love it. 😊 Sorry to hear about your mother in law, hope she get well soon. Best wishes to you all, stay safe.
I call my channel Craft-Tube but predominately cross stitch so I would love to see your cards you have been making 🧵✂️🪡🧶Sending big virtual hugs from Australia x
Loads of others talk about their other crafting adventures! So yes! Do a "cards and cross stitch cross over" video. See what I did there. :) Stay safe, Teresa! Praying for your in-laws to feel better.
Hope your in-laws heal quickly and fully. Covid is evil. I say go ahead and do card videos too! I want to get a Cricut Maker, hoping they go on sale during March (National Craft month).
Thanks for the lovely video. Sounds like you are doing the right thing by taking this virus seriously. It will all be better soon! I love your stitching, would also like to see some of your card making. Why not? Other flosstubers add knitting and other crafts, right? and as a side note, have you been getting out to get your nails done or do you do those yourself because they are perfect.
Thank you for your lovely message. Yes I think I will maybe do the card crafts at the end of the videos for now. lol! No I don't go and get nails done - I do them myself with Shellac kit at home. With lockdowns I have got a bit better at it now lol
Hello my lovely Teresa, love all your work and tutorials which have inspired me to start stitching again. I’m in my 70’s and it’s been 20+ years since I’ve stitched anything. Believe it or not, I’ve found my WIP that I put away back in the day. I’ve decided to continue stitching a small piece that I had started many years ago. The piece is on 28 count Amber Linen stitched with Kreinik Silk Mori in the kit. I have no problem with the count of the linen however, my problem now is with the silk thread. It keeps snagging on my hands. My hands are older and have gotten rougher with age. Can you recommend anything that I can use to soften them before I stitch? Or, would it be ok for me to change the thread and see if that works? Please, any advice would be very much appreciated. Also, the reason I decided to continue this small piece is to get myself back into stitching before I dive into a full coverage piece. Thank you for your wonderful tutorials. ❤️☘️❤️🧵❤️
Hi Maria, I am so pleased that you are filling a little of your time with your stitching. Hats off to you after 20+ years. I have to confess I tend not to use any creams on my hands before stitching as I find they are always slippery then lol. Maybe try using a hand cream morning and night, just not when you are about to stitch so as not to have oils on your fingers when stitching. I'm sure there are hand creams out there for stitchers, but I have a little routine. I must say I have used the silk mori in some projects and it is a little delicate to use anyway so it does require a very smooth working style - I snagged my a few times lol. Maybe ask the rough hands comment on a facebook group - the community have so many tried and tested ideas that might be helpful :) Happy stitching!
Thank you Teresa for your advise. I shall make an effort and start treating my hands twice a day. You are such a down-to-earth person and I so thrilled I found you. I have not searched the Facebook yet but absolutely will. Thank you again and please stay well. ❤️☘️🧵❤️
Hi Teresa, We used to live on Canvey Island (now in Australia) And my husband was emailingfriends on Canvey and they mentioned they had a good vaccination clinic on the Island If you are not far from Basildon Hospital thenmaybe Canvey could be the go. Stay safe lovey xxx
Hi Teresa... Hope everybody is oan the mend now... oor son Christopher was in hospital for six days with covid he was oan oxygen... he is fine now... I do all crafts too.. so it could be titled crosstitching and my other crafty bits... ...
Hi I personally use my own method to start my single thread from the front. Maybe I will do a video to show how I do it from the front. I finish a thread the same as most - I run the thread under the back of the threads on the back of the design and cut the thread. The fabric is 25cnt ecru magic guide. The fabric is a nice soft feel.
I love your video's, Teresa. I'm sorry your family has been through so much with COVID. I hope your in-laws are doing better. May I ask what your stitching your Alternative Reality on?
I have to add another comment I am in Texas and I have been sheltered in place with my Pug Lucy Dancing Bear and my 2 And their families live within 30 minutes of me but Covid hit both of their households between Thanksgiving and mid January.....I was able to have Christmas with my Daughters and brand new Granddaughter in mid February.... Plus Texas had Snow-Vid 2021 my Daughters had no electricity for days my Daughter and my Granddaughter had to go to my ex-husbands home because he had a Fireplace.... My other Daughter had to cut down trees to have a fire due to no electricity for dayside! Our survival skills were definitely tested. My Daughter and her husband are now vaccinated and I am fully vaccinated.... One Daughter to go to get her vaccinated. .... I hope you are ok across the pond.
Sorry to hear about your in laws and hope they are well soon. It’s very different in Australia as soon as you test positive you are sent to a hotel that is just for covid positive people, even if you have no symptoms. They are guarded 24 hours a day , you stay for 14 days then must test negative before release.. If you step outside the door, your 14 days start again . If you do get sick there they send an ambulance to take you to hospital . It must be working our rate is low, Bridget
Yes we should follow in Australia's footsteps. I am pleased your country has the virus under control. Fingers crossed the vaccine will help us to do the same.
@@TeresaLittleStitcher thank you , I hope your mum in law is feeling better . I have my fingers crossed for the UK too, it looks like they are rolling the vaccine quickly , Bridget
Hi Teresa question. You mentioned about some type of glasses where did you purchase them and what are they called again...?? I really need some magnifying glasses with a light my eyes are so bad.
I use mag eyes. They have different strength lenses you can buy with them depending on what strength you need. They don't have a light though. I use a seperate light overhead.
Hi Teresa sorry things have not been good for you. Would be interested to see your cards which I am sure will be lovely don't matter it's not flosstube. Stay safe and look after yourself xxx
When deciding if you need to seek medical attention, an oxygen pulse oximeter can be handy. I bought mine online for about $20 US, and I keep it with my thermometer. They are the little clip that goes over the tip of your finger and measures the saturation of oxygen in your blood. You can't always tell by your breathing how well your lungs are transferring the oxygen to your bloodstream. They are easy and painless, and give you an extra bit of info to help make the decision. When I was ill and feeling really awful, it was reassuring to see I was getting enough oxygen, lol.
beautiful progress! And I hope you decide to keep doing stitch with me's because I love listening/watching them. They are perfect for me to have on while I make my blog posts.
That’s terrible news about your in-laws ,there is a person on utube that just says that COVID is not as bad as they say .but tell that to people who have lost loved ones .it is a terrible virus ,l do hope that you all stay safe .and that goes for everyone.
WOW....what a crazy time your having.....I would tell them to come now......"Away with the Fairy" 🧚♀️ I love this comment......I will use this...love this...
I have shown the way I do 1 over 1 on many of my stitch with me’s . If full coverage I just leave a small tail on the front of the work - stitch down around 10 rows and then cut it off .
No need to apologize for talking about life. We come here for the stitching but as humans, we need to emphasize with each other. Hope your in-laws are as well as can be expected. I think we are all going to get Covid.
As a Paramedic I resent people with covid calling for an ambulance and unnecessarily exposing us. If you can walk, and talk to your friends and family on the phone about your illness you can have someone else drive your ass to the hospital. Don’t expose paramedics to covid just because they are paramedics, its so incredibly selfish and arrogant. Get up, get in the car and take yourself, unless you are struggling to breath to the point you cant talk please, please don’t expose paramedics, we need to stay healthy for critical people.
Sorry if I offended or that you feel I have any expectation to expose paramedics, but the problem was that she couldn't breath, or talk to us either through the window or on the phone. I respect that as paramedics you are only needed in an emergency, but when at hospital she was admitted and stayed there for over a week. Given that she also had a lung infection from the covid by this point I think that covered the need for help. No offence meant.
Hugs and much love to you and your family. Teresa, Really research what is in the v*cc1ne - (nasty stuff) before giving it to your Mum. Get her outside into the sun for Vitamin D and fresh oxygen, and give her vitamins: C, D, ZINC, GARLIC and others. I'll pray for Gloria et al. Your stitching as always is beautiful.
To watch you stitch with all these parked threads is absolutely amazing!!!

Maybe ask the rough hands comment on a facebook group - the community have so many tried and tested ideas that might be helpful :)
Happy stitching!

Teresa l would be lost with all those threads .but l get lost easy .they make things very hard for the elderly to get to these places .
Sorry to hear about your family :( sending hugs! Also love this format of video
This is so beautiful! How do you start and end your thread when stitching with 1 thread?
Id like to know this as well. Also what type of fabric are you using? It looks very soft.
Thank you for your lovely message Judy. I am using a 25 count easy guide fabric in ecru

Thank you Bianca. This is a 25cnt easy guide fabric in Ecru.

It must be working our rate is low,
Bridget
Quel beau travail !
Thank you for the video, please stay safe and well best wishes from Kevin.
Thanks, you too!
So sorry to hear 💕💕💕
In your UA-cam videos I noticed one of your needle minders??? It looks Iike a mini pin cushion, did you use a pattern for it

🤗
What fabric are you stitching on?
This is a 25 count easy guide fabric
How do you start and end your thread with one strand?
I have shown the way I do 1 over 1 on many of my stitch with me’s . If full coverage I just leave a small tail on the front of the work - stitch down around 10 rows and then cut it off .
So sorry about your in-laws being treated awfully x
No need to apologize for talking about life. We come here for the stitching but as humans, we need to emphasize with each other. Hope your in-laws are as well as can be expected. I think we are all going to get Covid.
So sorry I have left 3 separate comments I am so sorry to hear about all the deaths that have surrounded you
I had to travel 20 miles for my vaccine here in Texas. But we're also used to driving those distances.
