      In 11 years I've had 3 jeep been without a jeep for a year and now about to buy another once u have one you'll always have one it's a good tool to get were most people can't get to for camping hiking hunting or just wheeling also including the scenic view u have on the way...

    I like the simplicity, so many people go out and buy crazy expensive solar showers and stuff but a sprayer works just as well. Never thought about painting one though! Makes it look a whole lot better and professional. My only issue with your set up is refilling it. Maybe you could add a filler port somehow so you don’t have to keep taking it off.

    • @ArkansasOffroad
      @ArkansasOffroad  4 роки тому +2

      Jeffery Cummins Completely agree! And yeah I actually thought about adding a cutting a hole on the side for a filler port, but couldn’t find one that would work well.

      Arkansas Offroad you could cut a hole and tap it, then install a boiler drain. Great video man!

    You really have some great ideas and one of these days some after market company, if they’re smart, is going to make you VP of new product development! Your ideas are practical and unlike other mods don’t cost an arm, leg and kidney to buy.

      Thank you Keith! I really appreciate that comment. One of my passions for this channel is to show people easy, creative solutions to things like this. Plus it’s way more rewarding knowing you made it rather than bought it. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼

      Arkansas Offroad - I am using your video for a table on the tailgate but got a plastic cutting board from Sam’s, have to size it, and then mount it. Washes off easier than wood and doesn’t harbor bacteria, is pretty indestructible, and won’t rot or warp. You’re an inspiration.

    • @jdshaw83
      @jdshaw83 4 роки тому +1

      I also built a table using his as the model. I had a bit of trouble finding a good way to keep the magnet attached to the wood. Finally decided gorilla glue was the way to go.

    Good idea! You showed in the video that you brushed your teeth using the water from the sprayer. Just keep in mind that the plastic isn't food safe. The small amount used to brush your teeth probably has no health concerns, but definitely don't use it for drinking and cooking.

    • @ArkansasOffroad

      Thanks! Yeah I don't use it for drinking at all. Just cleaning dishes and the occasional teeth brushing. Thanks for looking out!

    I did the same thing to take camping, but added a brass combination garden nozzle to it.... Much better as a water supply/shower than the commercial products out there to go on your roof rack.

    Hey, great video. I love the simplicity. I was (one of?) the guy asking about your water setup when I saw it on your camping video. I'm a food safety scientist, so the first question that comes to mind is whether the plastic is food grade since you're using it to brush your teeth and wash your dishes. It looks like the harbor freight sprayer is polyethylene (HDPE probably), which is generally considered food safe. Are there any markings on the tank? Looks like the orange hose is PVC, which may or may not be, depending on if it's treated with anything. Anyway, don't want to be a debbie downer -- I really like the set up. Just something to think about if you're using it for cooking or drinking water. If you can find more information on the materials, I'd be happy to ask some of my chemist buddies about it.

    • @ArkansasOffroad
      @ArkansasOffroad  4 роки тому +1

      Appreciate you thinking about that man! I don't use this for drinking, only for cleaning, brushing teeth, etc. Not sure about the markings on there, but I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads up!

    Nice project. I had a friend who made one out of a free kombucha keg and it was pretty awesome but some of the parts were difficult to resource here in Hawaii. I went to Ace Shopped up parts for a similar design but it turned out to be a few dollars more to buy a premade camping one for $40. But it kind of sucks

  • @imchris5000

    theres a better way you can make jerry cans pressurse with a few fittings some hoes and sacrificial can lid. take a lid drill one hole for your water hose have this go through long enough to reach the bottom of the jerry can on the same lid drill another hole for your air compressor to attach you could go bare bones and just stick a valve stem in or make a regulator and valve set up. all you gotta do is put a few psi in the can and it will push the water out through the hose like a straw

    I did this mod and it's so cool. However I used it for the radiator today and the pickup spout only is in water till its over half full considering it's on it's side. Do you have a hack to relocate the pickup point or am I just a moron. Well I am but...
