Linda had become the premier female interpretive vocalist several years before recording this album containing "Lose Again." Her dynamic performance here showed just why she was the absolutely the finest singer of Rock & Soul Oldies, Classic Country, Contemporary Pop and Spanish language Mariachi of her generation. They just don't make them like this anymore.
Linda is one of a kind in music history with a beautiful crystal clear voice and such a lotta of possibilities, and specialy this song show what i'm talking about! Thank you Harry. #LoveLindaRonstadt
Can you imagine, she never thought she had that great of a voice! I had a friend who grew up in Laurel Canyon, Linda used to come over to his musician parents house when he was a kid, he has been in love with her since he was 5 yrs old. Even my dad fell in love with her.
Linda is my all time favourite singer and have been listening to her since the 70s. Thanks Harri for the love and appreciation shown to Linda on your Channel. Also, special thanks to Debbie for all the requests ❤
This is from a concert she did in Offenbach Germany. It was broadcast live on the Rockpalast TV show and also filmed. You can see the entire thing here: ua-cam.com/video/7BKwtq-VBNA/v-deo.html Linda at her peak singing many of her best songs.
Originally from Linda's 1977 album, " Hasten Down the Wind", this tune helped to solidify Linda's ❤ prominence in the music industry. Her great sensitivity of her singing this classic ballad, with the heartfelt lyrics and emotional melody, delves into heartbreak and lost love. She beautifully encapsulates the raw emotions one experiences when facing the end of a relationship, with great instrumentation. Beautiful delivery. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Debbie. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Originally from Karla Bonoff's 1977 album "Karla Bonoff." She wrote it. She sings it best. Don't get me wrong'; Linda is fabulous, but Karla makes the lyrics seethe with passion. Karla wrote it. And this album was the inspiration for so many female singer-songwriters that followed.
You really should try to take a look at Karla Bonoff. She wrote this song as well as a few others that Linda released. "Someone to lay down Beside Me", "Restless Nights", "Wild Heart of the Young", Baby Don't Go", "Tears From the Sun (Keiko Matsui), and the haunting "Goodbye My Friend" are all Keepers. She is very underrated, IMO.
Always lovely to hear Linda live, Debbie. Another Karla Bonoff song (she had a very nice hit with "Personally"). Her band includes such Ronstadt stalwarts as Andrew Gold, Kenny Edwards, and Waddy Wachtel. Thanks Debbie and Harri.
Saw her twice in concert, once in the early 80’s and again singing her Canciones de mi Padre songs with mariachi. She blew it out the park both times! Great singer!
Harri did a great reaction to “Down So Low”. It’s a live performance from this same concert and worth checking out. Just search Harribest and the song title and you will find it. 🌺🌸
Debbie made a great selection! But can you ever really go wrong with any Linda song? Harri, one of my favorite softer, Linda songs, is “Alison.” ❤️ It’s a cover but done so beautifully. Joe
Please react to her cover of Smoky Robinson’s song “Oooh Baby Baby”: ua-cam.com/video/zhkKVhEZV5k/v-deo.html. I think you already have done their duet and Linda’s version is equally beautiful.

Hey Harri, thanks for doing my request. And thanks for being a genuine fan of Linda Ronstadt 🌺✌️
Thank you Debbie for all of your Linda suggestions.
I saw this lady in concert many times in the 70s and early 80s. She never ever missed a note. Bar none the best singer of ever! 🎶👏🏻

Wish you would do the studio version
When you mentioned her music, you forgot to mention opera.
