We'd gotten a handful of suggestions to try out Risk of Rain 2, and when we learned it was a roguelike it seemed like a no brainer for Date Night. We've been having a ton of fun with it and have had more than a few Risk of Rain 2 Date Nights since making this video. If you're looking for something fun to play with your friends, this might be exactly what you needed! Just be sure to set aside a lot more time than you think you'll need because it's easy to get lost in the storm. :)

I am totally with Nick on this one; remembering birthdays don't let you get a lazer gun that turns enemies into bombs that destroy other enemies, but knowing rogue like synergies do

Found this channel just today.. and binge watched every video. Really loving the content. Also I think you guys should definitely do a video on Undertale.
Thankfully, the only items you need to be cautious of are the oranges (usables), purples, and blues. Reds, whites, and greens have no downsides, and the most you'll need to do with those is deciding whether they fit your build. Oranges usually don't have downsides, but since you can only hold 1 at a time and some are definitely better than others, you might pass on those to try a shrine a few times.

All you need to know is in risk of rain so long as it’s not blue (lunar items) no item in risk of rain 2 will be negative but with lunar you only need gestures of the drowned and maybe a shaped glass if you have a ton of hp

i got this game. YESTERDAY. i found this channel. THE DAY BEFORE. ok so basically i watched your Gungeon video and decided i liked roguelikes enough to get it, then i also had this game on my wishlist so i got it as well and was HOOKED. and then the next day i found that you made a video on it. *H O W*
Fun fact, I saw this video in my notifications when I tabbed out of ROR2 to change the music I was listening to. Been sick for the past few days and was looking forward to this video, but I didn't expect it to so on point to my interests. By the way, quick tip. There is no reason to not take most of the items in the game as soon as you see them, aside from lunar items, void items, and one outlier among the regular ones. I would recommend looking at the wiki to see what the individual lunar and void items do so you don't ruin your run by taking one that you don't want. As for the regular item, personal shield generator is something that you shouldn't take more than 1 of, because of a mechanic that keeps you from being one shot when above 90% health. (Basically, if you are taking a lot of small hits, then your shield can go down, and even if your healing outpaces the minor damage you can still be one shot since you are below 90% health with 2 or more stacks or personal shield generator, and your shields wont regenerate until you go 7 seconds without taking damage, which leaves you extremely vulnerable.)

The White and Green items usually dont Ruin your Run. They only have positive effects. Only the Red ones can have detrements.

If you guys are looking for another interesting co-op rogue-like I'd recommend Wizard Of Legend. Its a hectic game where you sling spells like a magic ninja, I've had soo much fun with this one and definitely feel like y'all will love it.

The game where the most effective build is having so many items that you don't even know how you're dealing damage anymore.
Amazing as always! Out of curiosity, who are your favorite characters? Archer was my main until I unlocked the plant that uses their own health as a resource and places vines everywhere.

Blue room, big hole, jump in, purple portal, charge stuff, get 9 "free" items without changing the time or difficulty meters. It's dangerous in there tho so be careful. Also, shotgun is my favorite so you're good on damage but if you want healing try and get REX. It's whole move set is based on healing. Also also, get the artifact that let's you choose what items you get. Also Also Also chase hermit crabs off cliffs for a good time.

Wanted to throw out reccs in case you read these/care/havent tried yet:

The amazing thing is, only lunar items can ruin your run. Those you have to weary of but otherwise no item is going to sabotage you
Risk of Rain you really only need the fear not knowing are lunar (blue) and Void (Purple and DLC), as they are the only ones that could ne consider power downs.
Every other item at their worst, Are just not doing anything for you. Well I guess going TOO fast could be an issue but... That's about it.
Cute video as always! Maybe you could try Keep talking and nobody explodes, would be interesting to see the difference in stress levels ;)

She should play engineer and get bustling fungus. It's hilariously effective, lets her heal basically all the time, and even be helpful to you too! Even without any damage items it's really helpful.

If you still have trouble with Isaac items there's a mod which puts a description of the closest item in the room under your health, it sometimes gets a little finicky when there are multiple items like shops or deals, but it's a lot better to have to finagle it than find out Plan C kills you after you've already used it

Have you guys seen Gunfire Reborn? It's another rogue-like with a unique art style and can be quite challenging. My friend and O have put at least 150 hours into just by playing one night a week
We haven't heard of that one, but we're always looking for new games! We'll definitely give it a shot the next time we're on a roguelike kick :D

@@crankheart i have e8 on every character, I have 100% the game, I have done syzygy before it was artifacts on merc and huntress, and done it on loader and bandit after artifact revamp since the og mod got deprecated.
I have lost most fun in it because, like I said, 100% the game, and I only find fun playing eclipse 8 or with friends.
