After seeing a BBC documentary, about Neil Sedaka's life, I learned about how Howie wrote this as they parted ways. A true love song between friends. Always makes me tear up. ❤
A tribute to my little Brother, passed away 12th April 2022, music was both our lives, we both loved this song, although it is his last song, the music will never die, and the memories will live on forever. Singing in the Heavenly Choir now mate... fly high.
God above, how this takes me back...45s😐 ....a lot of pain pissed under the bridge since first I heard this song; bittersweet....the nostalgia ambushes me ....oh dear the memories, the memories memories memories...Ewig..Ewig ewig all I need now is Charles Trenet with 'Baisers Voles' (sorry, I can't find the key for the acute accent ) and Lucienne Boyer singing 'Parlez-moi d'Amour' and I will weep all night... bloody Scottish sentimental Celt that I am...mind you, having cancer doesn't help either.....
This will always remind me of the little baby I used to sing to sleep in our local creche, and who has now gone to a "for-good" family. Singing this song to her just before she left was really quite poignant. Well, there really was no other way to say goodbye. All the best Sunny-Kay, may you be the best possible Sunny you can be.
What a wonderful song, the words, the simplicity of it, with a piano and drums, I RATE this song and Abbas "Thank you for the music", thee 2 best songs ever,,, , just, to acknowledge the writers & indeed, the public,,,excellent!!! Gj Chelsky
I'm glad you added (on the video) that this wasn't the last collaboration they had. I'm not sure "Love Will Keep Us Together" was either, but it at least summed up their 30-year-plus friendship. Mr. Sedaka still speaks of him with love on his mini-concerts.
Yes, I've watched every one of his mini concerts since lockdown. And when he speaks of his old friend Howie Greenfield it is always with respect and affection.
wonderful song, at 73 I still enjoy listening to all neil 's songs, love it
At 78, so do I!
One of my best songs growing up in the 70's. Still play it to date
A beautiful song, a truly beautiful song.
One of the greatest songs ever❤
Sedaka is a maestro!

Beautiful❤❤
I see you are, like me, a Sedaka fan. Lots more of his music lined up for posting on this channel in the months ahead.
One of my favorites of oldies but goodies. Actually my ringtone.
Superb ❤
Great Howard Greenfield. Lost to us too young
This make me cry 😢
Two icons of the pop music. Amazing songwriters.
Yes. Between them, they seemed to write the backdrop to our teenage years!

I remember falling in love with this poignant song over forty years ago, it’s still wonderful
Absolute masterpiece
Thanks for posting this as it was our 8th grade graduation song in 1976
My pleasure, Maureen.
