Grington300's comment says it all really but there is more.
This was a Saturday morning and BabyMetal were the first act on stage and pretty much unknown by the majority of the people attending the festival.
It really is a milestone in their career. This is probably mt favourite version of this song. Although I have viewed in many times, it still evokes such strong emotions in me. The message of the song, the age and courage of the three girls to face a potentially very hostile crowd and lastly a strange one, I get a proud father feeling watching BabyMetal when they were this age. Hard to describe really - a sense of pride, amazement and fun at the strangeness of it all.
BabyMetal is such an absurd concept. As many reaction channels state: "This should not work!"

Good reaction! Welcome down the Foxhole! They were scheduled to do the gig on a smaller scene at Sonisphere, but due to some changes they did it on the Main stage. And they were new to most of the audience but they completely blowned some 60000 metalheads away!!

Great reaction. As you have been told IDZ translates as 'Bullying, No More, For Ever (or Absolutely)'. The lyrics are very powerful talking about how those who watch on and do nothing, the friends of the person being bullied, are as much a part of the problem as the bullies themselves.
So the bullied person stays alone in their darkness, unaided and abandoned .... but no more, that was yesterday and she is saying goodbye to the person she was yesterday, she can fly and stand up to the bullies.
This was their first tour outside of Asia, their first major event outside of Japan (they had played two small venues in Paris and Cologne leading up to this) and, apart from some fans who had managed to get there and some people who had seen the 'Gimme Chocolate' video (many of those thought it was a joke or a gimmick and had threatened to throw missiles and boo them off stage, especially when they heard they had been moved to the main stage rather than playing the small side stage they had originally been booked to play on), the vast majority of that crowd had no idea who BABYMETAL were or why there were 3 small Japanese girls in red tutus on the main stage at one of the biggest metal festivals.
There were 50-60k people there that day, it was BABYMETAL's very first time in the UK. They had about 25 minutes, just 5 songs, to win this crowd over. Before they walked on stage they could not see the crowd and were worried nobody had come to see them. When they walked out they were faced with this sea of puzzled faces. Su-metal has said when they walked out she thought to herself "This will be fun. let's knock it out of the park."
This is also one of the biggest moments in BABYMETAL's history and one they remember fondly. Their first time in the UK, their first major event outside of Japan, their biggest audience up to that time and it was a metal festival. At the end they finally felt accepted by the metal community and it gave them confidence for the future.
Su was 16, Yui and Moa just turned 15 (Moa's birthday was the day before this show).
It is great hearing the crowd shouting "we want more" and for "one more song" as they walk off stage at the end after their "See you".

"Ijime, Dame, Zettai" means roughly "absolutely no more bullying" (or "no more bullying forever" as they translate it) and it's obviously an anti bullying song. Powerful lyrics that talk not only about the bullying itself, the consequences for victims and how to confront the bullies and overcome the situation but also about the people around who seem not to notice or ignore it.
"IDZ" is one of their earlier songs... actually it's their second song according to live performances since it premiered live in July 2011 although it was released officially way later (January 2013) probably because it was almost 100% power metal and they didn't want to pigeonhole themselves into one genre.
I believe that this performance speaks for itself: no crazy custom stages, no lasers or lights show, no pyro... just the band and the ladies performing on a standard open air stage, in the daylight. And yet the crowd spoke: they wanted more. And they meant it, because that kind of metal festival crowd in the UK tend to be quite... "direct" when expressing their opinion, specially when the band doesn't match their expectations (notice the euphemism). 😁
    Until next time!

👍 Poor Yui, her costume had decided to go into 'self-destruct mode' the whole time. You said it must have been a great experience as a spectator. It was also unforgettable for the three girls. Before the performance, the three of them looked from behind the stage to see how many people were watching. But they looked on the wrong side and only saw a few hundred festival visitors. When they came on stage there were 50-60,000 spectators and very few of them knew Babymetal. If you listen closely you'll notice the audience screaming 'we want more'.

The legendary Sonisphere performance was a pivotal moment in Babymetal's career and helped give them a degree of legitimacy in the western metal scene. The girls themselves have cited Sonisphere as a huge moment in their career, and they often call the UK their "home away from home" due to how welcomed they have always felt there. They often plan something special for when they are in the UK, so fans are pretty excited and eagerly anticipating the upcoming UK shows in November.

Read the lyrics again from this perspective, the title literally means No more, Bullying, Forever.
This was their first major performance outside Asia, in front of 50 -60,000 metal fans, most of who had never even heard of them before. Su was still only 16 and Yui and Moa had just turned 15.

The meaning behind ( IJIME DAME ZETTAI ) refers to Bullying and how it is not good for thyself but also not good for others aswell. In Japan metal music is becoming a normal but for a long time Japan entertainment industry was mostly geared at female idols. so all in all ( IJIME DAME ZETTAI ) covers all aspects of bullying.

    _Kitsune tobe!_ 🦊🤘🙅‍♂️
Song title translates as "No More Bullying Forever" and "Ijime" it reads something like "e - g - meh".
It's one of their early hits and 60K UK crowd witness a turning point moment for BM career, they will never forget this day, after this UK becomes the second home for them.
They usually play this song as an ender for the live shows like they did in the Asian and Australian Tour this year but during the Babyklok Tour they used Road Of Resistance as an ender, however in the second night of California and finishing the live tour at the UA-cam Theater they performed IDZ (another short and more comfortable way to called this song) surprising everyone with this extra song which of course is anti bullying song but they've been changing the lore introduction here and there if you see some other version.
    See you next time 🦊🤘🔥

Nice reaction to the best anti bullying song ever. It does cover everyone involved in bullying. Why do we bully, who are we doing it for? And it lays the blame on everyone. Why did I do nothing? Why my so-called friends or the strangers watching did nothing? And then it asks who does it hurt? And the answer is everyone involved. Babymetal has some very fun songs, and they also have some very thought-provoking songs. Not only do they mix up the music and dance. They also mix they subject matter for their songs from song to song as well. Which is why we say the foxhole is deep and full of surprises. Babymetal got surprised coming out on the stage in front of thousands of people. When they thought it was a few hundred. They handled the whole thing like the pros they are. Even at their young ages at the time. While many will tell you how great their shows from Japan are. And a true bucket list item for us outside of Japan. Their festival appearances are equally great and important for the group. This performance chief among them. They truly made a name for themselves in the metal world that day. Enjoy your journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.

3:08 the way Babymetal works it's actually easier, the dancing is ties to the lyrics she sings, kind of like an interpretative dance. So when she is gonna sing it, all 3 know what is gonna come. It's why you can see for example Moametal mouthing the words that Su-metal sings so she knows what to dance. You'll also see the dance parts repeated, because the lyrics are repeated.

Nice, great reaction! This is an anti-bullying song. The title of “Ijime, Dame, Zettai means “Bullying, No, Absolutely Not / Forever”.
The starting verse: “I can’t even have my dreams, stuck in a place between light and dark”
As others have mentioned, this was Babymetal’s first major show outside of Japan, where they won over 60k UK bewildered metal heads who heard them for the first time. This song was closer of 5-song set. This show legitimized Babymetal on the world stage!

I think that the best thing to be said about Su-metal's singing is that she doesn't use vibrato - when she hits a note, she keeps it, and doesn't introduce any quaver at all. IMO, far too many singers use vibrato and I personally find it quite annoying.

Can I suggest to you a new band? They're called Nemophila, another all female Japanese metal band. They have a bit of a different vibe to Babymetal, but they still have high energy and often have positive messages in their lyrics, similar to Babymetal. The band members are actually big fans of Babymetal - they even have a cover of "Megitsune" on their UA-cam channel, but I would start with one of their own original songs rather than with the covers...
Perhaps try "Revive" or "Oiran" first because these songs do a good job of capturing both the clean and aggressive vocal abilities of the singer. For both "Revive" and "Oiran" I would recommend the "official LIVE" videos from the Nemophila UA-cam channel - the best live versions were both released recently, about 3-4 months ago, so look for those ones!
