Listening to Babymetal, I always tend to get emotional. Their music is so much more powerful that I ever gave it credit for when I was younger. Such amazing music, amazing young women, and an amazing band all form one of the best bands I've ever heard. They are so fearless! They must be protected at all costs!

Suzie. Thank you. Youre mention of" Mikios playing is like Flowing Water" is Exactly what I hear whenever I listen too Mikio. He was so fluent with the guitar he was liquid. Amazing touch and diversity the guy was a Great Teacher(published) as well as Everyone whom worked with him couldn't say enough positive things about him. How about some more Band Maid? Daydreaming is a slower song from them. There is a official music video or you can find a reasonable live version, recorded by a fan, known as fan cam videos.

It was this show that started Babymetal's rise to prominence in western metal. Most of the people that saw them that day had no idea whio Babymetal was and of course they blew everyone away because they are so good live. After this Babymetal was getting all kinds of rave reviews in western metal magazines and ended up winning a lot of metal awards later that year from Metal Hammer and Karrang.

I agree with what you were saying about Mikio never knew him or got to see them live but you can just feel happiness and joy from him. Sad that I never got to see them live while he was still with us. 🤘🏻 🤘🏻
The majority of the crowd did not know who Baymetal were, as it was the 1st time Babymetal played in the UK, they just went to see them to see what all the fuss was about in the metal media. Some of the crowd were there to boo or throw stuff at them while they were on stage, but Baymetal won them all over during the 1st song and they ended with that reaction from the crowd.

and they were not even waiting for them, those are like 50000 metal fans waiting for other bands, most of them didn't know babymetal existed and they were supposed to play at another smaller stage but somebody told them at the last moment "you go play on the main stage". this was amazing and historical, everything could have gone very wrong, but they conquered the audience and left the people wanting more.
The last moment thing is a bit of an urban myth. I know because I bought a ticket for the Sunday, when they were first anounced, playing the smaller stage at around 4pm. @@billbird6494 I didn't say they were determined too, I just said they went to do it. There are members on the reddit forum that have said they went with the idea of booing and stuff, but gave them a chance to start with, but are now converted. The thing is that they didn't like the idea of the band, they just had not seen or heard them. There are a few haters that have come on to the Babymetal forum and said they were wrong.

Thank you for a wonderful reaction. This is the song and performance that made me a Babymetal fan. Although I don't find it sad exactly, it never fails to stir the emotions. Add to that your lovely tribute to Mikio Fujioka, and it seems I might have some - *cough* - dust in my eye. There are some homemade videos that Mikio recorded and uploaded to UA-cam several years ago. For me this performance brings regret... Cause I WAS AT THAT FESTIVAL. But we got late There with my friend & only heard them already playing as we were going to The stage. I finally got to see them live now but Yui wasnt There :'(

The only Babymetal videos that have disappointed me were the videos where someone messed up the sound mixing. I think it was the Glastonbury 2019 recordings that were really bad. You can barely hear Su-metal in those recordings.
