I had a sigma probe but now I have the power probe hook now I have gone with a name that I can trust as thay after service is more helpful as my sigma probe stopped activating components and thay tec department was not very helpful
Hey Tony I have purchased this Sigmaprobe and I am trying to diagnose a Intermediate parasitic draw on a 2005 4 runner. I have looked at all the docs on this probe and any videos and I can not find out how to set this up to sit for say overnight or longer and log when the draw happens so I can know for sure its happening. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Haha ya it's atleast worth a look. And it goes on sale alot for an additional like 40 dollars off or sometimes another tool is included with it. So it's a pretty good deal. I have it linked below in the TOOLS Link 👍
Tony, off topic but i had glasses twice as thick as yours. I did a form of lasik surgery. I still wake up everyday with perfect vision and super glad i spend the 6000 on my eyes than coffee and donuts everyday for a year.
@@TonyTheTechnician I did the prk and it is worth every penny but honestly under trucks for work sometimes I forget I don't have glasses on because I've grown so used to wearing them constantly that I forget to put on safety glasses and get stuff in my eyes lol
I have what's called the hook made by power probe has all the same features but wasn't as inexpensive as this unit here. It's a great tool to have if you do lots of electrical daignosing
@@draffa5798 haha ya I didn't keep mine long but at the time I hardly ever used it. I suppose if I would have had something like this I would have used it more often
Seems like a more useful tool then the power probe but even then my pp4 isn’t my first go to tool. And I agree the 5v feature is … scary, on any probe style tool, lol.
Lol agreed about the 5v. And ya this thing has alot of great features but I don't see myself using it for voltage or resistance unless I already have it out using it for something else
It's been doing well. I haven't used all the features but it hasn't let the smoke out and I've used it for standard operation of turning on components and voltage testing and it's done well I haven't done many relays and I haven't used the diode function but what I have used of it, it has performed well

Wow...Dude...I was just checking these out a couple days ago....It's really a nice unit...🏁☝️
I actually expected it to be more expensive than it was
Haha nice. Ya for the price you get alot. And the ease of use is awesome. I was very surprised with this unit
Same here lol checking em out yesterday
You got a new subscriber just waiting for the oscilloscope test next time. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. It will be coming.
@@TonyTheTechnician I'll second the oscilloscope video.
Wow never heard of this this. Ive only ever had a power probe but this thing looks legit!
Ya I have used my old power probe and an ancel version and both were great but this thing does so much more. I was very surprised by it

If this thing holds up well it would be the go to for so many reasons. Thanks for the video.
I was looking into this yesterday! Glad I didn't buy the power probe :)
You can find it on Amazon!

Ya I regret not getting prk when I was in the military. I could have got it for free but now I have to pay for it lol. That's what I regret.

That's pretty snazzy
Thanks 👍

Don't use the 65amp circuit breaker on it, mine melted and now the circuit breaker doesn't limit current at any setting.
We are glad to hear you enjoy our products!!
Do you still have this tool? Is it holding up well??
I have the power probe 2, so it's safe to say i need an upgrade lolol
Haha ya I had the 1 without a screen or anything just a switch and a light
Yes get the power probe 4.
@@TonyTheTechnician ok I'm wrong. I must have the power probe 1 as well. I don't have the display either lolol I guess I really need an upgrade 😅
@@draffa5798 haha ya I didn't keep mine long but at the time I hardly ever used it. I suppose if I would have had something like this I would have used it more often
I have the power probe 3 and 4 and love them. I wanted the hook but they discontinued it.
Very nice. I heard the 4 is pretty awesome
good video. Need to look into these testers.
Thanks and ya they are pretty handy tools

Nice Job, going to this tester for easy use and less carry. Thanks for the righteous demo. Doc🕊️
👍👍👍
Bro, that’s an advance high tech diverse tool, i just need an easy probe to find multiple short circuits
Looks like power probe hook. Which i have. Just little different all identical except display.no wonder power probe discontinued
Now since you have had it for a year what are your thoughts on it now?
