Great review! The 3 and 5 volt switch is for sending that voltage out. If you’re checking 3 wire sensors that have a 5 volt reference line you don’t want to send 12 volts down that line.
Definitely considering the innova, everyone at the shop has powerprobe3, has to be another good option. Only thing that seems questionable is the circuit breaker function. Seems like the power probe uses a physical breaker while the innova is using a transistor? Hopefully it won’t wear out easily
Absolutely just sold me, been using Power Probe #1 over 30 years. Ordering at Napa $85 plus 20 percent off coupon a mega deal. Thanks for the really great video 😅
I have the Innova 5420 but would like to know when to use the 3 and 5 volt scales and what happens if I have the 3 volt scale selected and touch a 12 V conductor?
Excellent!!! Definitely the Innova! Price and better quality control makes it hands down winner!
Couldn't agree more!

Great comment, very helpful when you need that functionality

I’m not sure that’s an issue, I’ve been using Probe for 15 years and I can count on one hand the amount of times I tripped the breaker accidentally
@@dannysdiygarage that’s true, thanks for the video comparing the biggest brands! Bought the innova
Update me when you can, let me know how you like it, I’ve used the both, the 5420 is clearly easier and does more for less $$

Wow, that’s an amazing deal, thanks for sharing this information, hopefully others will read this comment, amazing deal
Very useful, thank you, greetings from Mexico.
Awesome appreciate you taking time to respond gracious
Which tool did you think was better?
I have PP3. The ground alligator clip doesn’t come off if you need to apply ground with a pin to female connector.
I quit using power Probe brand all together
Innova 👍

Always turn on power before touching the draw with the probe. You just arced the points, in the switch and shortened its life.
Great job Danny, thanks for the info
Thanks John, Appreciate you watching
I have the ez3 but now I’m gonna buy innova for that spin feature alone. I think innova should give you a free one cause this probably sold a bunch!
Appreciate that comment and I agree with you👍🏼
Have you ever tried the QR code on the tool and does it pull up a video?
