jolliFactory have designed a large 8x8 LED Matrix DIY Kit based on MAX7219 ICs which can be daisy-chained together to build a long large LED Matrix Display.
This is part 2 of the assembly for the large LED Matrix DIY Kit
We will be posting the instructable on how to build it soon. Detail will be provided here once it is published. - Наука та технологія
Could you explain in a video or simply by replying how to make the pattern change on the matrix by pushing buttons?
It's for a go-kart indicator.
Hola..en donde se consigue la placa pcb?
Yes ..liked
mình muốn mua khoảng 10 mạch điều khiển 8x8 thì bnhiu tiền vậy
does the arduino board remains same for every matrix size for eg 64x8 or 80x8
Each module is made up of an 8x8 LED matrix. You may daisy chain modules together to made longer displays. For example, if you are making a display with 80 LEDs horizontally and 8 LEDs vertically, you should made 10 of these LED Matrix modules and chain them together. You will only need one Arduino board to control the entire chain of displays. So, the Arduino board connections for an 8 or 10 module chain remains the same.
sir will a breadboard be fine rather than a PCB MATRIX
A lot of wiring connections are required but it should be fine you are wiring up just one or two of these 8x8 LED matrices on breadboard. It is very frustrating to troubleshoot poor or wrong wiring connections on breadboard. The PCB makes connection very easy.
отлично
The music bro.. It's depressing..
YASER AMMAR
nice
bruh..
can i use only mini arduino for 24x8 scrolling text matrix without max7219
or mega arduino
You will need a lot of digital I/Os to drive a 24x8 matrix if you are not using the max7219. This is not possible using the Arduino Mini. An Arduino Mega have sufficient digital I/Os but then this requires a lot of wire connections.
ok sir if i buy arduino mega it is possible to make scrolling text of 24x8 matrix
Tuyệt vời
cool
eso no se entiende nada de lo que ase por aserlo rapido
!hey¡ hermano, como se llama la tarjeta en la que montas los led? o donde puedo comprarla?

I loved the music :D
Good night friend, I have a question, how do I put words on the panel, do I have to download a program? I thank you for collaborating with that information, I found your video very useful but I am left with that doubt.
very efficient DIY
Question, so, cathodes are connected in rows, as well as anodes. but i fail to understand how can the microcontroller light various individual leds without turning others on.
Let me explain. Im following the schemathic you left at instructables.com :
Suppose you light up the Topmost-Left LED (D0,G) so the IC connects D0 to ground and sends 5v trough G, right?
So if you then try lighting the Bottom-Right LED (D7,DP) , wouldnt the Topmost-Right(D0,DP) light up because both Cathode and Anode rows are open?
Im missing something here, idk what that is.
I hope you can answer me, im very intrigued by this.
The magic is with the MAX7219 IC. You may want to search online for this IC driving 8x8 LED matrix for more information such as at wayoda.github.io/LedControl/pages/hardware. Below is an extract from this site;
MAX72XX multiplexes the rows of the matrix.
Multiplexing means : The drivers switches between the rows of the matrix
very fast (about 800 times a second). That gives the impression all the
Leds are constantly on, while in reality they just flicker very, very
fast. The big advantage of this trick is that at every single point of
time no more than 8 Leds (one row) are lit.
hey, thanks for answering! tho yesterday i kept investigating trough the night and understood it, its some pretty useful knowdelge :D
sir i am planning to make a 64x10 so will a 12Kohm resistor be fine or i require a larger one.
if a larger one then of what ohm?
Are you planning to build 10 of these 8x8 LED Matrix modules and chain them together? Each 8x8 LED matrix will require a resistor with a value selected depending on the LED you use which will affect the brightness of the LEDs. The value of this resistor remains the same for any number of 8x8 LED Matrix modules connected. Check out on the MAX7219 IC data sheet to determine the value of the resistor required.
What is the name this music?
thank u so much
Ха) карандашики из икеи) btw, nice job, lad)
😎.. 👍👍

Hi. I am looking to build an RGB LED display however I want it to be see through, yours is nice because you can't see all the electronics just the bulbs. Can you help find something that's exactly like this but had colour LEDS instead of just monochrome. Once built I plan to build a housing for it and encase it in the housing. Do you offer these matrixes pre-built to size and spec? We have a few ideas to build and if the price is competitive then we would be interested in ordering these bespoke from you and just encase them ourselfs. Ideally we want the distance between each LED to be 1.1CM horizontal or vertical.
Sorry. We have yet to come across any similar product with RGB LEDs. We also do not offer these matrixes pre-built to size and spec. Our 8x8 large LED Matrix have the LEDs 1.8CM apart horizontally and vertically.
Maybe you can do something with NeoPixel LED's, they are also available in through-hole packages like ones used in this project.
can i know all the LED's are connected in series or parallel.
Neither. They are wired to form into an 8x8 matrix. Please see Step 2 of instructable at www.instructables.com/id/Large-8x8-LED-Matrix-Display/ for detail.
excuse me sir may i know which controller and software you used to program it.
The popular Arduino board is used for this project. Detail is available at www.instructables.com/id/Large-8x8-LED-Matrix-Display/
What a kind way to ask things! 👌
Tiching for you
I found breadboard in aliexpress for 3 $
