I love Sulfur 8. I started using it again early this year, specifically on my scalp, and I haven't had dandruff problems in a long time. I really appreciate your videos where you bust myths about ingredients in natural hair community. I used to think silicones and grease are the devil but your videos convinced me otherwise and now my hair has never been healthier. In 2022 I would like to see more videos on myths about ingredients especially with this clean beauty trend of exaggerating claims about ingredients for marketing purposes.
I would also appreciate more videos on shampoos, bentonite clay and ayurvedic cleansers like shikakai and areetha. For shampoos I'm interested in the differences between surfactants. Why do some shampoos with gentle cleansers strip the hair and why do some sulphate shampoos leave the hair moisturised and not stripped? Are sulpahtes the only clarifying ingredients and is there such a thing as sulfate-free clarifying shampoo. Is a shampoo with suphates automatically a clarifying shampoo? Why does a bottle claim that a shampoo is moisturising but when you use it it strips your hair in one wash?
And I'm interested in knowing how bentonite clay and similar clays work and if they really clean the hair. And is it true that they are clarifying? There is so much conflicting information and cosmetologists' opinions are divided on this topic. I would appreciate insights from a cosmetic chemist. I would also like to know if shikakai and areetha are as effective as store bought shmapoo. Can they really wash off store bought products produced in the lab with traditional formulas or do they only work on similar natural ingredients?

I would still look into MSM as a supplement to see if that will help with your hair, also working with a trichologist in your area can also confirm and suggest additional options you have as well.

Greetings. Coy and often mute in the comments. However I’m a ride or die subscriber here smile. I’m interested in DIY methods and proper mixture protocols. I’ve noticed an immense difference with growth after making my own oil blend.
Here’s another prime example! Knowledge on how to enhance your deep conditioner, moisturizer, or shampoo.
Is it probable to add rice water, MSM, fenugreek, hydrolyzed protein to deep conditioner and if so what would be the proper amount of each ingredient? I didn’t mean adding all the additional ingredients at once though. I just need to be hair boogie on those days, when one feels, that your hair is in need of tender loving care.
Maybe this would only be suitable for one application or if the goal was to keep for the next session is a preservative needed?
It would also be gratifying to see how you maintain your own hair. What your wash day entails and natural hair styling.
Be blessed. I’m a computer scientist, science is my forte, profession, therefore your content has substance for me, and research based.
Since I’m in the gym six days week what would be the proper way or product to use to cleanse my scalp; while in a protective style such as braids or corn rolls.

Can you talk about Ayurvedic ingredients dealing with protein sensitive, low porosity hair? I tried a DIY fenugreek treatment and my hair fell out. So now, I reduce DIY’s.

I definitely 2nd this request. I had to cut 6 inches due to protein sensitivity & now have protein overload again because I didn’t recognize an ingredient as protein since it wasn’t obvious, silly me 😖…fenugreek makes my scalp slightly burn & gave me a headache. I’m also lo po.

@cutenobi - I used Camille Rose Algae Renew. It made my hard so soft the 1st time, 2nd time a week later was a little rough, but I thought it was because I did a rush job on the whole wash day & was stil being optimistic since the 1st was a success. The 3 time was a nightmare! I didn’t recognize any protein, but realized coconut oil causes protein buildup, & my hair HATES coconut oil; I believe that was the culprit.
Mielle Mongongo Oil Hydrating Conditioner & TGIN Honey Miracle Hair Mask are deep conditioners w/out protein. That I’ll be using.
Here are some protein ingredients in hair products:
      Hydrolyzed (wheat, oat, soy) protein
      Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein
      Hydrolyzed keratin
      Hydrolyzed collagen
Amino acids (Silk, milk, wheat, etc.)
Cystine Bis-PG-Propyl Silanetriol (Derivative of keratin protein)
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol (Silicone modified wheat protein)
Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (Quaternized wheat protein)
      @Les G - yes, fenugreek has protein.

Great and helpful video! This is the first one of yours that I’ve seen, so Idk if you’ve done this idea already, but I think a lot of people may benefit from an education on ingredients and their scientific names. What I mean by that, is that I’ve seen a lot of people say, “if I can’t pronounce it or recognize it, it’s not a good ingredient,” and I think that your channel could at least help present an informed view on that. Most people would struggle to pronounce/recognize the botanical names for aloe vera or shea butter, but they don’t doubt that those are healthy. So I think it’s just an example of one person starting what appears to be a smart talking point, that is not necessarily based in truth. With your science background, I think the video could at least be worth making to present a fuller view. Thanks love! 💗

Hi CC, you always seem to provide exactly the information I need and at the right time. Maybe a series on certain ingredients or products and how it/they react on different porosity hair, different hair types or color treated and/or relaxed vs natural? Also, it would be great to have a live so we can ask questions. Lastly, maybe offering a class or 20...😂 that would be beneficial to you (monetarily) while providing a great learning opportunity for us.
