My husband and I are retired. Unfortunately we can't go anywhere further than a day trip. Because my mom lives with us at 85 she is disabled. She can use the facilities but thats it. My husband is also disabled and cannot go far. My point is your channel has given me a way to escape for a little while. Seeing the beautiful places you see. Thank you so much for taking an audience with you. You both have blessed my life beyond measure ❤ 💛 ❤ Julie
Hi Julie. Thank you for your comment and we are so glad that we can take you and your husband along with us. Thanks for watching and please have a wonderful day.
24:00 Thanks for stopping to get the history. I really love it when you all take your time and share details about the places you're passing through. It makes me happy too!
It has been over sixty years since the Trans Canadian Highway opened. Most of those who worked on it have passed away. Can you imagine if those workers could be magically teleported to today? The countryside is still mostly the same but all our inventions we carry around since then are utterly unimaginable to them. Sixty years from now if we could be transported into the future I wonder what kind of vehicles we would see and what kind of gadgets were being used. I wonder if we would find it to be almost magical and the beautiful countryside still mostly untouched. Probably.
Hello dear Ones, I somewhat envy your experiences from today's episode. These are fantastically beautiful landscapes, we don't have anything like them in Europe anymore. Well, we also have some very beautiful landscapes, but these are then besieged with hordes of tourists. No comparison, about the isolation of your campsite today. I enjoy watching your travel videos all the more, thank you very much for sharing them with us. Many greetings from Wuppertal, Germany, yours Wolfgang.
I love British Columbia and have lived here for 32 years. Im originally from the U.K im just about finished my build and heading for a global overland trip. Love your video and thank you for pointing out some Great spots for me to go visit while doing some test runs with my new setup
Love the loon sound off the lake, I live on a very small lake inland Florida, in the last 25 years of living here once or twice a lone loon finds our lake in the winter and is gone very soon!
Absolutely loving this British Columbia road trip series! Episode 5 really captures the wild beauty of the Canadian wilderness, and it’s clear how much thought and preparation you’ve put into this overland adventure. The combination of stunning landscapes, off-grid living, and the camaraderie between everyone on the trip makes this such a great watch. Big shoutout to your sponsors for supporting such an epic journey - it’s inspiring to see the gear in action, especially in such challenging environments. Can’t wait to see where the adventure takes you next! Thanks for sharing your journey and have a nice day. Cheers, Simon
Such a beautiful adventure. Amazing spot for the day/night. The aqua color of the water (at least on my screen). True, Peter, the sounds are so wonderful. Looking forward to next week’s episode.
I am loving this series! What amazing beauty. Especially like that you are telling place names if not exact coordinates which, of course, you never tell.
Awesome video as always Pete and Carol. This has been an absolute epic journey the Trans Canadian is such a bucket list for any overlander to see the true history of Canada 🇨🇦. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
My family is originally from California, and then we moved to Washington in 1967. Since then, one of my sisters has moved to B.C. Canada that same year. She and her husband lived primarily on Vancouver Island, but when they retired 6 years ago, they moved to Gabriola Island, B.C., Canada. I have also been to a few places on the mainland. One place my mom and I got to visit while in Canada was the Southern tip of Alaska to a small settlement called Hyder, Alaska. I love B.C., Canada. I am new to your channel because you are traveling in B.C., and I enjoy seeing areas I have not been to. Thank you for sharing your journey for the rest of us to enjoy.
The solace & solitude of expansive country and scenery in BC, is outstanding. I've visited parts of it previously. You capture it all in a most splendid manner. Expansive lakes, towering ridge lines and peaks are captured along with glacier rivers & wildlife. Sorry re the smoke and fires (that hit the 'West' this summer). Safe travel otherwise as you move East.
My wife, kids and I took that FSR overlooking Adams Lake earlier this year on our way to the Shuswap for a houseboat trip. I wasn’t ready for it, and there was logging traffic, so that made it interesting haha
Great video again. Amazing sceneries and this last one where you are having a great dinner and amazing sunset by the river is hard to beat. But then again you have seen many of those great places in all your travels. Thanks for sharing. I follow all of your videos and the kids as well. Cheers.
Taco Bills been in the hospital with a nasty bacterial infection to the body! Home and cleaned up and part of my Sunday AM with EFRT! Glad to be back with this/your beautiful natural content that is graciously shared! Thanks!
Welcome to our backyard!! All the eye candy scenery. We just drove that road home this weekend from Invermere. Plus Glacier, Kootenay, Banff & Jasper parks await. Proud member of the decal & patch addicted club! 🥾⛰️🇨🇦❤️
So far this adventure has been amazing. Really enjoying to watch your trip unfold. It unbelievable how beautiful BC is. Look forward to each new video.
Carol, your comment about needing to stop at information centers to get patches and stickers reminded me of collecting patches and stickers at similar places in my travels since I was a teenager! 😂 I remember my first path and sticker was from visiting Snowmass and Aspen, CO when I was 16. I'm sure I still have those patches and stickers somewhere. Great memories of travels!
Hi y’all! Golly I’ve missed you both and still trying catch up but my goodness this is our dream ☺️ I will be making notes from your fabulous adventure for sure. I know the wedding is coming up and such joy for the family ❤️💕 Back to work for me, 4 more semesters until retirement but remaining fully engaged in the joy of that work! Sending 🙏🏻 and love for continued safe adventures! ☺️ Barret
When I was in the artillery I was posted in rogers pass. We did six weeks of avalanche control. Was a blast. In the parks canada building there's a bar called snow punchers lounge. I painted a mural on the door the B battery bee.
It was fun to come home from a week off camping to discover your video that took you through our area of BC. It was cool to see Adams Lake from up in the burnt areas and then above our Shuswap Lake seeing Bastion Mountain from a different angle. We’re so thankful that we didn’t spend the whole summer in smoke this year! 🌲🌲🌲🌲❤Beautiful BC
This trip is so beautiful. I mean all the trips have been beautiful, but I have to say for me. This trip has been the most beautiful trip that I’ve ever seen y’all take as far as scenery. I enjoy every video you put out the highlight of my week is Sunday morning I said under my front porch, drink my coffee and watch your video. I love you and your family, keep up the good work. I miss Hondo. 😂 Tiny ( Len Price ) Houston MS
The sun set was magical as if a drawing by an artist. The glacier park area was mind blowing but your campaign spot was phenomenal entire day driving that brings some fatigue will vanish instantly energies our body instantly. Wonderful 👍😊❤❤.
Glacier national park! Last time i drove to Yoho national i completely forgot about this place, hope to have the opportunity with my stock SUV once Spring comes around. Awesome trip! :)
You drove through our neck of the woods. We live in the Salmon Arm area and have relatives in Bridge Lake. Lots of familiar scenery on this episode. GOD Bless.
Having changed diet 2 years ago to Carnivior(PHD) and Thriving IThank you Thoughrly for discussing eating meat for meals. I reversed type 2 diabetes and also high blood pressure, depression, roseacia and dandarif gout and arthritis, lost all skin tags. The way I feel now is like I am 25 rather than 60. Boundless energy and only eat 2 times a day, never feel hungry at all and if busy actually miss meals for a day or two. We Must eat red meat as it only has the requirements to feed our brains, no vegetables have them and supplements do not have the right ones in a form our body can actually use. CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS. Steve h.
Just saw in 2:43 how huge it is but hey, how big can a house get and that 6.7 Diesel is a great platform, no wonder they call it a mönster, thx guys great video.
Adams lake have a massive Sockeye Salmon run up the Fraser & they are huge in average size also . Worked on a 33 foot Salmon Gillnet boat mid 70s to mid 80s in the Fraser down by Fort Langley
You must have extra large fuel tank 🤗 yah ended up watching 2 more of your videos, you two do a very unique cinematic and a very calm product. Thanks again 🤗🤺🏋️♀️👍☦️
Just watched you driving past Adam’s Lake BC and out past the mill. What route did you take where you were looking across Shuswap Lake, stopped at a pullout with BC Recreation sign and then dropped down near Sicamous on the Trans Canada. Enjoying following your adventure.
Wow, this popped up on our Facebook feed. We met in 2019 in California north of San Francisco. You were still travelling with your kids then. I’m now curious where your kids are now. They were awesome, worldly kids. We are a couple from Calgary that had done a cross US trip in 2018-19 after retiring. I think I told you I was a geologist. Glad you are still on the move. We now spend 5 months in Mexico every winter.
Another incredible video. Loving this series especially because it's Canada! Also wanted to ask what those chairs are that you're using? They look comfortable, sturdy, and easy to set up.
Have you heard about the Norwegian man, Lars Monsen? E cross Canada with dogs. He was skiing ( winter) Canoe ( summer) It was in 2005. It takes 2 years and 7 months ( 8252km) you can see the video on you tube ( Canada på tvers)

God Bless you and protect you both in your travels. Love your home on wheels, but that cottage in Canada is adorable.

I love it when yall show all the little villages and towns you go through. That’s very interesting to me.
What a change to the scenery on the road skirting Adam’s Lake, we drive that as often as possible when headed south.
