If you look carefully, the tachometer is in units of RPM x 1000, so that means between 7,000 and 8,000 RPM is 7,500,000 RPM, and it apparently revs past 9,500,000 RPM. Impressive.
I’ve noticed a trend in modern Ferraris: They make a new model and the next model after that is a mild redesign of the first. The F430 looks like a facelifted 360 and the 488 looks like a facelifted 458.
You described literally every line of super/hyper/exotic cars. The exception is when they change it too much. Take a look at Bugatti, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, etc.

Immanuel O. There are many cooler cars out there. If a Koenigsegg, or a Bugatti arrives, then no one cares about the Pista. Also Doug is right, every car has a special track edition today...
Pro wrestling veteran journalist Dave Meltzer has rated matches on 1-5 scale for over 30 years. Recently he has given some matches 5.75, 6 and even 7 stars. I wonder when Doug will step out of the 1-10 scale because the cars will be just too good compared to the old ones?
Immanuel O. Yeah, but those “such cars” are getting the 10 points. If you go to a cars&caffe you will clearly see which cars are stealing the show. Here we have a yearly event and a Pista doesn’t even make it into the VIP area. Hypercars, and really special cars go there, even the Ford GT. But you can have the best Bugattis and LaFerraris, the Agera RS ALWAYS steal the show. Based on it, itcannot be more than 8, as I see at least 2 tiers above it.
I think the sounds of turbo cars are actually improving and they sound less like vacuum cleaners. The sound of an N/A engine can't be beaten, sure, but turbos have way more advantages nowadays. It will be the future for sportscars.
Super!! This might be the best looking Ferrari Ive seen so far in my opinion. The extra touches for this car that the regular 488 doesn’t have really do make a difference. Thanks for the video!
The door handle is actually well thought... they (probably) made the passenger door like this so the passenger can have a sturdier grip to hold onto when driving on circuit. Otherwise they will be thrown around the car which will ruin the interior.
the 7500 is there because of the variable red line. apparently it will hit the rev limiter at 7500rpm driving in manual mode. however with automatic launch control it will shift at around 7800rpm. under partial throttle it will also go beyond 7500. at least that's the case in the standard 488. i'd assume it's the same in the pista, or they just didn't bother making a new dial.
Other than the obvious, why would anyone switch out a set of the first carbon fiber wheels fitted to a Ferrari for a set of generic aftermarket aluminum wheels?

If you look carefully, the tachometer is in units of RPM x 1000, so that means between 7,000 and 8,000 RPM is 7,500,000 RPM, and it apparently revs past 9,500,000 RPM. Impressive.

I’ve noticed a trend in modern Ferraris: They make a new model and the next model after that is a mild redesign of the first. The F430 looks like a facelifted 360 and the 488 looks like a facelifted 458.
And where does the F8 Tributo fit into that??

Doug it would be great if you explored some new camera angle while driving the cars. A suction mounted camera on the window or sunroof of a car would allow us to see the dash and the rest of the car while driving. We are looking at a close up of you face the ENTIRE TIME.

The reason for a proper door pull on the passenger side is probably so that the passenger can hold onto it at high speeds. However the driver won't need it as both his hands are supposed to be on the steering wheel.

The door handle is actually well thought... they (probably) made the passenger door like this so the passenger can have a sturdier grip to hold onto when driving on circuit. Otherwise they will be thrown around the car which will ruin the interior.
this actually makes sense..
the 7500 is there because of the variable red line. apparently it will hit the rev limiter at 7500rpm driving in manual mode. however with automatic launch control it will shift at around 7800rpm. under partial throttle it will also go beyond 7500. at least that's the case in the standard 488. i'd assume it's the same in the pista, or they just didn't bother making a new dial.
