my god, what a shame Pete Sandoval has become ... one of the best kick ass creative and fast drummers ever. I mean thats as pathetic as it could get. And that's not alcohol .. the guy is blasted by meth or crack or something. Actually this might be the true reason for his long absence, not the surgery. More rehab. Surprising he made it till 2010 before collapsing. Miracle that Vincent seems like a reasonable guy in an interview because of the wreck .. jeesus

Not to point out the obvious, but Morbid Angel are not of this world. I love my Florida death metal I think they all rule, and for the longest time Obituary was my fav death metal band still is, but honestly man, I don't think any other death metal band in the world has had such a diverse, impactful lasting legacy as Morbid Angel, they are definitely the greatest there ever was and ever will be (cue Hitman theme song)...all the way down to their last album Kingdoms I think its got quite a few gems if you really listen to it, contrary to popular belief....and Trey, the sorcerer, magician, master recruiter, I used to be under the impression he is like a 2nd generation of guitarists from the late 80s judging by how young he is in appearance turns out he's almost as old as Dave Mustaine...and to create and perfect this genre in such a short span of time with such deep thoughtful vision and consistency album after album, ESPECIALLY Forumulas Fatal to the Flesh (the late 60s psychedelic power trio of Steve, Pete and Trey) really makes him a god among men, therefore the most extraordinary, evolved human being on this planet. Really just recounting each album in its chronological order gives me the goosebumps. Wtf was going on in that studio and that head of their's at the time of recording these sounds should definitely be a subject of academic research about ancient religions.
