Awesome interview. Steve (and Erik Rutan) really breathed new life into MA in my opinion and that first tour supporting Formulas was like a band reborn. They were on fire, killing it every single night. I have a playlist of live shows circa 98-04 featuring Steve/Jared Anderson and I can't think of a better death metal act. Nothing is Not!!!

Hard to believe that Steve Tucker lives on the other side of my town. Steve lives close to the City Park and walks his dogs almost all the time, and he is well known by CA House music where I go to get my guitars restrung. when I was working at Wal-Mart in Vienna in 2018, I saw him in line, and he shook my hand when I was telling him I loved the album Kingdoms Distained in 2018, and in that summer, I left Wal-Mart to work at Buffalo Wild Wings, and he came in twice to eat with his girlfriend...man, it's a small world. and its cool seeing him as bald as me, I have always seen him with long hair.

MA have now become irrelevant.. Mainly due to Kingdoms being a dreadful album.. Which I had highly anticipated. When Piles was released.. I couldn't stand it. Then the album came out and I actually bought it first day.. But just couldn't connect to it and that terrible album cover. The album was under whelming in every sense. Also.. That second guitarist.. That Dan Von guy.. Just about the worst fit ever.. Awful.
MA should have done a follow up ressurection album in 2020. Formulas was a great album.. As was Gateways. It matters not now. MA are finished. It doesn't matter if they do another album.. They are out of steam.. Have been for sometime.
Dave Vincent is the man. I've actually met Dave back in 2011.. Met him briefly for about 90 seconds.. He was courteous and polite.. Very assertive. When Dave says he enjoys shooting the breeze with fans.. That is true. Actually I was interjecting on a conversation that was already taking place. Vincent was conversating at a local club with two other friends I knew and I approached.. But didn't stay long as wasn't my conversation.
