You guys are right, at this point I'm in here for the memes and good edits on videos also for inspo on outfits. But I don't even wear jewelry/accessories or that much oversized stuff like he does, I just enjoy the content.
I'm in the dad bod range. 5'8, 173lbs. So the slim sheer tees you find at most places just don't work for me. They highlight every bulge, roll, lump, etc. So I seek out the heaviest weight tees I can find like the Dickies heavyweight or Carhartt K87 paired with a wife beater to smooth things out. I've slowly been getting into looser fit bottoms as well. I did the slim/skinny pants for a while but I've been picking up tapered and relaxed workwear pants lately.
All you need is long legs, period. There’s a reason why short girls can wear oversized jackets and tops and still look good. Your body proportions just need to be mostly legs and your good. (70% legs and 30% torso is ideal).
I think having a skinny/sculpted face also matters a lot bc I’ve grown up always hearing from ppl how I have long legs and good proportions but since my face is chubby in comparison to what my body looks like, wearing oversized clothes makes me look +30 pounds since it basically covers the outline of my body which makes it look like a blob
I used to wear fitted clothes and saw that it was DEFINITELY smaller to pack. I could do a backpack for 1 week of travel. with oversized clothes, I have to size up to a rolling luggage, and if you have to check it in so there is that one drawback.

ITS THE LONGER LEG PROPORTION. Having short legs on top of being short is literally the source of all my problem. I always wondered why people who are the same height as I (or even shorter) look a lot better with oversized clothes or clothes in general. It's because they have longer leg! Ah joy :)
and also, your legs have to be skinny. If you're like me (short and slight overweight) then goddamn you'll felt like you look terrible in every clothing style. i became overweight back in the lockdown period and now struggling to go back to 50kg (i am now 75kg and 164cm)

Im 5'8 too and it looks good on me. Kanye is 5'8 too so you can steal outfit ideas from him. You can try working out to get broader shoulders, which will make you look better in any outfit. Speaking from experience
This has been my style since my freshman year in high school, realizing small clothes will be outgrown just made me realize I can up a size and still wear it in the future
the only problem i have with oversized clothes is that it hides my waist. i have a muscular body. thick thighs, wide shoulders... but my waist is very much SNATCHED. i like that about my body. i also like oversized stuff. but when i wear oversized clothes, i feel like everyone just assumes im big in size. that makes me uncomfortable for some reason and it makes me want to show off my pretty waist all the time. the worst part is that being big isnt even a bad thing. i feel guilty for feeling like it is. i wish showing off abs to random strangers on the street was a normal thing to do
Have you tried a French tuck w tucking just part of the front of your oversized top into your pants? That way you keep the oversized shape of your top AND accentuate that snatched waist at the same time (and you don't have to tuck a whole hoodie into jeans). Also works w a French tucked shirt and an oversized jacket over it I'm a short girl w broad ass shoulders and I try to accentuate my waist too bc else I look stocky as hell w any shirt that isnt a crop top and the French tuck helps with cutting my body into better proportions at the waist

It honestly depends on body type and the type of clothes and size you pick. My sister who about the same weight and height looks better than me in most clothes because her body type is better for it. I have to try a little harder to make things look good but it’s definitely not impossible.
I used to wear skinny jeans as a kid no lie, but working made it so much harder so I went to baggy and have never regretted it lmao. I honestly don't care if they make me look bad, I wanna wear whatever's comfy lmao.

Highly recommend denim vests. Helps box and flatten things out because of the stiff fabric, but way more comfortable in the heat and can be styled a lot of different ways. Flannels can be a good option for some people too, and rolling up the sleeves can help make it look a little less baggy and oversized.
I already have the answer : I'm an hourglass Figure and I'm not fat. (I'm a size M/S) and for YEARS I wore oversized clothes, because I felt uncomfortable in my own skin. (I still do, but I dress differently now) and it's weird, because I looked sooo damn bad with oversized clothes, but once I started wearing fitting clothes, I looked way better! (Without sounding like a narcissistic person. I'm actually really insecure about myself, but that's just what I and so many other people noticed about me)
I'm like an upside down triangle, so wide shoulders and no hips. I love oversized clothing, but I look soooo much better with a fitted top and looser bottoms.
Same. I look much better with fitted clothing rather than oversized, I look like a stump with big clothes but I much more prefer big clothing because they're comfy
I was 160-170 for such a long time. I would wear a size medium in everything. Over the past few years I've ballooned up to 230lbs. So to hide the fat and feel more comfortable I've been buying more oversized clothing, it feels great! I'm gonna work on losing the weight but not gonna give up the oversized clothes
I want volume in the right places. For example I like a high rise, wide leg trouser but I want it to fit my waist neatly and the legs shouldn't bulge on the shoe, just hover over them. I get inspired by the 1930s-50s menswear.
I'm 5'6" and I've been working out a lot (insecurity) and now my bench press is directly proportional to how insecure I was growing up. If I wear clothes that fit me, they are more uncomfortable and they look like I have a Napoleon complex, which is true but I don't need people to know that. I wear oversized so I can be more comfy and avoid looking like a short guy who lifts to make up for it.
The whole point of oversized clothes is not to just buy them large. It's actually that they should be cut differently. More fabric, fit more loose - but still the size of the wearer! If you can't find clothes that are cut that way already, get them to a tailor. But don't just wear them larger like the vast majority of those "models" even! That just looks ridiculous..
I don't even wear oversized hoodies because I'm insecure, I'm not insecure, I just like how it looks, and it's comfortable. I usually only wear it big enough to where it atleast covers my hands, it's just cozy, idk why.
I'm 5'2" (160 cm) I really only wear oversize, especially hoodies. Legit I have 15 hoodies and 4 pair of jeans lmao. ngl I always look like a kid wearing their dad's XL size sweaters and its cute, but childish cute and I fuck with it. I totally agree on the shoes and jean combo proportion wise, you need that extra spice and structure if you go oversize on top. Need to fix my proportion game a bit
i honestly never plan on using oversized cothing, considering i only wear classical menswear, but this was none the less a very good explanation of such style :)
3:10 that’s why most of the times i go for women clothes when i shop oversized, pieces tend to be shorter in comparison with men clothes, so when you size up you get wider but not longer.
man your saving my fucking life rn, im into 90's streetwear and all my baggy pants look ugly af, my butt literally dissaper or its skinny and baggy at the same time it really sucks, so thanks man fr
Baggy pants and normal fit tops works really well and prevents you from looking condensed down and shorter. In general, I think long shirts never look good. I own a lot of large shirts that aren’t any longer than my mediums and are only wider, which solves the height problem (I say this as someone who is also 5’9)
My reason for buying over sized shirts is because I'm a 6'1 skinny nigga so medium shirts look a bit tight and rise high on me depending on the material, and same goes for hoodies. I go large each time but XL hoodies are a vibe if I really like it
So being 5’7 doesn’t qualify me as a short king? Let’s gooooo! I do have a long torso and short legs though, so I have to tuck in or crop to stay proportionate. Got some good tips from this video, thanks!
I like oversized clothes because they're easier to move in. At least that's what i thought, then i realized that it's all a matter of cut and fabric. Some of the cuts in fashion today are extremley uncomfortable, no matter the size.

brh this is literally the channel for people who have money and doesnt have strict parents
Option 4: I’ve never seen anyone who doesn’t look good in oversized clothes and I’m confused.
You described me so well at the beginning. I don't wear oversized clothes, but my brain refuses to help me pay attention to my homework.
I don't look bad in oversized clothes, but still have to watch this.
Actually I dont look bad
For real
I thought I was good with oversized clothes but here I am panicking now...
Im supposed to be doing exams but oh well frugal aesthetic posted a video
ew
I feel called out. I am in the Answer C category....kinda clicked in this video and your lovely voice kept me watching!
You actually used a canvas screen when im supposed to be doing hw on canvas... thanks christian!
im not even into fashion, this man just have top tier content
The whole point of oversized clothes is not to just buy them large. It's actually that they should be cut differently. More fabric, fit more loose - but still the size of the wearer! If you can't find clothes that are cut that way already, get them to a tailor. But don't just wear them larger like the vast majority of those "models" even! That just looks ridiculous..
I don't even wear oversized hoodies because I'm insecure, I'm not insecure, I just like how it looks, and it's comfortable. I usually only wear it big enough to where it atleast covers my hands, it's just cozy, idk why.
I don't wear oversized clothes, i only have skinny jeans lmao but i'm just happy you uploaded something
sorry but skinny jeans lowkey kinda suck. invest in some cargo pants or at least some relaxed ones 😬
@@squiddyft.insecurities3549 lowkey let people what they want pal, they haven’t asked for your opinion
@@i0xiaY okay? it was just a suggestion. i wasn’t dictating what they wear calm down babe.
I bursted in laugh at 0:38 when you put a screenshot of CANVAS onto a laptop LMAAAAO THAT IS ME AT THIS VERY MOMENT 😂😂
I'm 5'2" (160 cm)
I really only wear oversize, especially hoodies.
I literally have a midterm tomorrow but I’m here watching why I look bad in oversized clothing at 10.30pm
i honestly never plan on using oversized cothing, considering i only wear classical menswear, but this was none the less a very good explanation of such style :)
I personly think I look good in oversized clothes but I just enjoy this dudes videos
3:10 that’s why most of the times i go for women clothes when i shop oversized, pieces tend to be shorter in comparison with men clothes, so when you size up you get wider but not longer.
man your saving my fucking life rn, im into 90's streetwear and all my baggy pants look ugly af, my butt literally dissaper or its skinny and baggy at the same time it really sucks, so thanks man fr
i’m in the middle of online exam right now, but i still gonna watch it 😭rn
How did it go?
Madness
wow you’re so quirky 😭
I’ve come to realize that these videos don’t actually make sense, but my brain makes me think they do so I keep on watching
I don't know how Japanese people look good in baggy clothes when I have the same stats as them.
It's Asian thing brah
it’s a mindset 🧠
Just follow the rule of thumb, 1/3 top and 2/3 bottom....tighter top looser bottom or looser top and tighter bottom.
East asian people in general tbh
Baggy pants and normal fit tops works really well and prevents you from looking condensed down and shorter. In general, I think long shirts never look good. I own a lot of large shirts that aren’t any longer than my mediums and are only wider, which solves the height problem (I say this as someone who is also 5’9)
My reason for buying over sized shirts is because I'm a 6'1 skinny nigga so medium shirts look a bit tight and rise high on me depending on the material, and same goes for hoodies. I go large each time but XL hoodies are a vibe if I really like it
i get happy when frugal posts a new vid
So being 5’7 doesn’t qualify me as a short king? Let’s gooooo!
I do have a long torso and short legs though, so I have to tuck in or crop to stay proportionate. Got some good tips from this video, thanks!
Same LMAO i haye tucking in though
That's why the metric system rocks. My 5.11 are 1.80 m. Just reached the 8
I just discovered your channel with this video and I laughed my ass off, suscribed 🤝
“The vibe fit but does the fit vibe” hit me so hard
I'm a fat guy, baggy pants and big shirts always been my wardrobe
WOW I'm a first timer and even the sponsorship commercial sounds entertaining af
Yes daddy posted
Now that I'm older, I can't wear oversized stuff anymore, it makes you look huge and ridiculous 😂
Man I hope to see you on E news with a fashion show or something like that. ⚡️🙏🏽
I like oversized clothes because they're easier to move in. At least that's what i thought, then i realized that it's all a matter of cut and fabric. Some of the cuts in fashion today are extremley uncomfortable, no matter the size.
Honestly, I just look bad in everything 😭 RIP me
I feel you😔
Just few seconds of video and I know that I will stay here longer. Great work!! Luv
i literally am just getting into oversized style this helps
my favorite fit rn is some shorter shorts and an oversized tee
😐
@@frankoceanspiano Hater
Oversized tee tucked into well fitted pants = the sweet spot
me with an oversized aesthetic but plot twist im a 5’1 female
I got 6 minutes into the video and then realized I’ve watched this video already I learned more this time around
