Great insights. I also heard David Brooks [in one of his books] recount Nietzsche who said, “write down the four most beautiful moments of your life, and then see if you can draw a thematic line." I think this is a very practical exercise that has the potential to reveal our unique curiosities and gifts that reside at our souls core. The thing that makes us 'feel' alive.
thanks for sharing. Joseph Campbell also makes similar suggestions.
Thanks for sharing this. What if I can not find a beautiful moment? What would that indicate?
@@jitub77 I interpret Nietzsche's use of the word beauty to also include meaningful. I can only use my own life as an example, as an instance, I remember when I saw a guitar player at the age of 10 years old and I felt that as meaningful and I knew that it was something that would be part of my life even though I had no idea how to play guitar or where to even start. Music and guitar playing would be a life companion and pursuit.
Thank you, that sounds great! Could you please help me understand the “thematic line” aspect? What should that be?

厚积薄发,最后的成功需要一个机缘。先是做一口高压锅,并且要一直加热,然后到锅里面的蒸汽超过临界值,否则的话,就再冷却下来,或许有下一次加热的机会。
Let's face it alot of people make a living from stuff they don't love.
I can’t find the link for the full episode of this interview with Robert Greene. Could someone please help me? Thanks

does he know how hard it is to find something you love?
Hence why he is teaching others to get to know thyself well
It's not hard. Getting paid for it is the hard part. I love fitness, music, and design. I don't make money at any of them
@@ThatBigCactus I relate to this as a musician
@@ThatBigCactusit's not about what you find fun to do, it's about what is needed in society
The friend! The hacker in the 70’s.. his story doesn’t add up.
Especially after small google search
Hi, are you talking about Paul Graham? If it helps, he's founder of a company called Y Combinator

My only quibble with this video is that Howard Gardner's multiple intelligence theory is dubious at best. There's very little evidence that this is a real psychological phenomenon. There is such a thing as intelligence of course. But it can't be broken down into all these touchy-feely areas as he would like to have it.
Where were you 45 years ago! Finish high school ,get a job or get out,get married ,have kids, raise kids, hate your job for 45 years but you live up to your responsibilities, retire, wife says she can't stand you ,wait to die ,worms eat your face the end.Have a nice day!
