I had a bad(physically) last week when I fell but this is a new week and you started it off great. I love Sabaton and this song. Like you I prefer to see the band in videos, but don't mind for purple hearts.
I was wondering where you were. I hope everything is O.K. now. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving 🍽️. Sabaton is fabulous and I also would rather see a video or even them live. Thanks and please TAKE CARE of yourself.
Thanks so very much for watching I really appreciate it. Sabaton is absolutely amazing and spectacular. Their songs are great and their videos are fantastic. Thanks again and please take care.
Hi Amy. No my son didn't serve, my brother in law and father in law and some others did and I appreciate them so much. It is always great to hear from you. Thanks and take care.
They are absolutely amazing and if I had them for history class 50 years ago maybe I would have learned some things. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it.
Excellent reaction. The Purple Heart can be traced back to General George Washington, who authorized soldiers who had been wounded to wear a purple ribbon on their uniforms. There is a major mistake in the video; the Purple Heart was not awarded during the Civil War. The original Purple Heart medal was called the Badge of Military Merit, and fell out of use after the Revolutionary War. It was resurrected as the Purple Heart Medal in 1932, and was retroactively authorized to veterans of WW1 but not any previous war.
Thanks Alan for the fabulous information. I knew someone would let me know about the history of the Purple Heart 💜. I have so much respect for anyone who served in any capacity from military, police, fireman, EMS or anyone else. Take care my friend and thanks for watching.
Hi...it looks like you have already watched almost all the Sabaton videos that I might recommend...including 1916, Wolfpack, and Bismarck...so the only one left I would really hope to see you react to would be No Bullets Fly...and I think the animated version is best, if you just want the video. However, I would definitely like to see you react to some of the videos on the Sabaton History channel...where the guys from the band talk to Indy Neidell about the actual history they are singing about, as well as the history of how Sabaton writes their songs. I think you would really enjoy and get a good response if you reacted to the videos from Sabaton History. 💯
Thanks for watching and your suggestion. Sabaton is absolutely amazing and spectacular and they are one of my favorites of all time.I will have to see if I can react to those videos. I am computer illiterate and my son does all the editing and deals with you tube. I love history so very I will have to check out their channel. Thanks again and take care.
@@grumpyoldguyreacts I am sure he will have no trouble finding them, but just in case, here is the link to the Sabaton History video about the misconceptions of the Versailles Treaty...though you and your son can pick any one of the other videos that cover topics you might be interested in if Versailles does not ...ua-cam.com/video/EcorsaeMcYI/v-deo.html
I can't respond to comments...YT is a bitch! Well, whomever served, bless them. I am an USMC widow, now 11yrs later, found love again w a former Blackwater man. I suppose I like the skill set! I love that you use your father's quote at the end of your videos... my new love said, "I never ask for a lighter load, only stronger shoulders"... so obviously, I'm gonna marry him!
I am SO SORRY for your loss but SO HAPPY 😁 you found love again. Everyone needs to be happy and be in love with someone. I love his quote and my dad always said Hang in there Tuff and be major league all the time. He coached H.S. football for 53 years and was a school teacher so he had a lot of sayings. I really am happy for you Amy and I hope I'm still doing this when you get married so you can tell me about it. Plus I thank your husband for his service so much. Please take care.
