OMG You must use some protection for the interior. Towels or something to avoid that the water goes inside the electrical components. It is basic for these procedures. Ambient lightning, switches, all kind of electrical and electronic components can be damaged. There are lots of examples. Airbags modules, radio antennas on the rear window, ambient lightning, damaged when the water goes inside. Be careful. Warranty doesn't cover these issues.
Good video man. Though, seeing all the water spilled on the interior of my door would've given me a heart attack, specially with the ambient lighting right there lol
You only covered the clear section of the rear glass? I’ve heard most ppl recommend tinting the entire glass or you’ll be stuck with an ugly cut line seen from the interior. I was planning on tinting 35% all around including the roof
@@griffinsgarage96 I hear u. I’m n LA and it’s not legal here either, we just roll the window down when a cop pull up on the side of us. I don’t think they’ll say anything about 35% u can still see thru. I believe 20% - 5% is the issue. As stated the tint is still nice tho!
Every squirt of water that touched the interior was such a cringe moment. Can't believe they didn't use any interior protection. At minimum knowing this is a Tesla. Such anxiety! LOL
Damn the sheer disrespect they had for your car is infuriating. Especially since you were right there recording, I can't imagine how they treat cars if you weren't there. Final outcome looks great, but that is piss poor service.
The ambient lighting, the speaker, the white door fabric hell nah. I would’ve been pisssssed at no covering. It’s all common sense. Never go there again.
Terrible didnt even cover the door panels. My friend had his done from a shop that didnt cover his panels and his new car smelled like a soapy scent from all the soap going into the Alcantara panels and one of his leds are dead. I had my new M3P done and they covered all the door panels and car still smells new and no led issues
@@griffinsgarage96 water can get behind them and start getting bubbling behind the lights. I would pay close attention to them over the next few weeks.
Wow - I know for a fact ur ambient lighting is breaking in some spots meaning when u look at the lights u see white spots / water damage inside. This guy should be FIRED and on top of that all that water and shampoo on the white interior…smh

It was giving me a heart attack but I didn’t want to tell them how to do their work… 5 days later though and there doesn’t seem to be any issues

There is a cut line but it’s totally fine in my opinion. I don’t even notice it
I would’ve got 35 % all around still nice
Me too but it isn’t legal where I’m at.

@@lilgshock07 I'm in LA quite often actually and I didn't know it wasn't legal, as everyone has limo tint out there haha

Totally agree. Not impressed!
Is a model 3 highland like a trim or is that what it’s called now? Like the Y Juniper?
Yea exactly. Thanks for watching
No! These were just internal code names used by Tesla for the refresh models.
🎉🎉

Yea not the best I agree! Glad you didn’t have any issues with yours
They didn't protect your ambient lights... you are going to have issues. Known issue.
Like what?
@@griffinsgarage96eh don’t worry with that dude, it’s an issue for cars without tint too

@@jacobrudd2398 Sounds good, thanks for the tip! Looks fine for now but I'll make an update if things worsen
Dam bro I can’t believe you let them tint the door with it all dripping down to the LED strip with no overlay lol
Thats the worst tint applicator I have ever seen.
What do you mean?

I agree that the work was done with care! A couple months later though and the lighting is fine, no issues
@ At least the lighting is okay. If u see white inside the lighting or broken coloring just know that’s not normal.
