I mean there's also Billie Marten, but the problem I have with her discography is that most of her songs that I find interesting and re-listenable melodically have melancholic/depressive vibes, and I'm rarely in the mood for that lately, with everything that's going on in the world.
This is the first time I cried to this song. This version brings innocence in a different way. Lizzie is just magic. Has become one of my top favorite singers and I've been around since the 80s and I'm a huge music lover. Seriously this girl is special. I cannot believe I found her from a short. It's criminal artists like this ride under the radar but she deserves her own airspace so just fly girl, you're incredible

I was fortunate enough to perform in “mamma Mia” on Broadway and I can honestly say-this is not only the best interpretation of this song I’ve heard, but maybe the first time I’ve actually enjoyed listening to it. Perfect voice, perfect style. Bravo.
I agree. When we hear the original, I don't think we often HEAR what a great song it is. Not until Lizzy here completely kills it with that amazing voice. Brava!
She has the sweetest, most comforting, rich, pure, beautiful tone of voice I’ve ever heard and she knows instinctively how to deftly and artistically use it to create emotion. She’s an incredible talent not to mention the fact that I’m totally in love with her.
This version brings a different interpretation to the song and i love it. It feels like a pov of an old person reflecting on the lost joy of being young.
The tastiest sound of all the variants posted on the Internet. Lizzy has a terrific timbre and great craftsmanship! I wish you more creative achievements! Sorry for the bad English.
Ok, so as someone who thinks all ABBA covers are atrocious.....you've absolutely won me over. Your voice is something else, Lizzy. The level of control you have is ethereal. And I keep seeing Ryan Lerman as your guitarist? Like....what?! What a legend. I keep seeing him pop up more and more and I'm glad. Awesome, awesome cover guys! If I could leave the Shia LaBeouf standing ovation gif here, I would. This was fantastic.
Wow that was great! Thought I had heard every version of that song over the years but I was very pleasantly surprised. I will check out her other songs now.
I love listening to Lizzy's covers because I know she can add a lot of flavor to the song as if it's her own. Talent. Just pure talent. 😩❤️ Also, to those who just met her here, please check out her songs. She's an amazing artist!!!❤️❤️

Congratulations Ryan on finally reaching the silver play button. Quite frankly I'm surprised it didn't happen ... within the first six months of the channel debuting. And ALSO, nice seeing Tiana on this and Lizzy KILLED it.
OMG... That was beautiful.... Very touching indeed... Made me realize that I still have remainings of a soul kicking around somewhere... You captured de truly essence of that song...
Lizzy absolutely has to work with Jacob Collier and John Mayer. That would be insane :-) Wait, she DID work with them? Well, this IS absolutely beautiful, amazing, wonderful.
I love discovering someone who I think is a brilliant cover artist, and then to discover that they have merit writing and performing their own material.
I come from a big family of singers and dancers. The bigger the grief, the more soothing the goofy gets. Too MANY of these Souls have passed on now, from the Patriarch that owned the HOME that we met in, others who once walked the unimaginable aisle to the grave alongside us ( helping to carry the body), and who too are also now silent and still. It feels like the soundtrack of my life was Powered off. It makes all the difference in the WORLD to build foundational moments that involves and include momentum.... Even In / Especially during times of Mourning
Sung like this it almost sounds reminiscent… absolutely beautiful don’t get me wrong, but it’s like somebody who’s looking back at the days they used to spend out dancing, nervous and excited about life and it’s potential.
It has flatwounds and a hot rails type pickup. It has a rubber instead of a bridge and the strings are attached to the tailpiece. Ariel has the same type of thing they sound amazing through amp.
she has the best sing-whisper voice of all time.
That's exactly it

Chills man, just chills up the spine
her and billie eilish
Different vibe but give MARO a listen. Her Tiny Desk concert came out very recently
Sweet! Really digging Lizzy McAlpine! Go dig up her originals. She is as good a writer as she is a singer. Gobs of talent.
Hi guys,I released my new song " Pray4love " on my channel
ua-cam.com/video/EyR_RIN852o/v-deo.html
Hope you like it
She’s the best
Fr , I love her voice so much ❤

omg...her voice just like the softest, sweetest, fluffiest thing in the world....
the beautiest whisper straight in to your soul 🙏
Her falsetto and control are 🔥🔥🔥 More Lizzy please!!! Loved this rendition.
I have learnt the value of purity and acoustics. Now, my friends, it just doesn't get any better than this. Kudos to everybody participating in this.
LYRICS
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing
You come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music
Everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen
You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave 'em burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another
Anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen
Young and sweet
Only seventeen
Dancing queen
Feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Ooh, see that girl
Watch that scene
Digging the dancing queen
Digging the dancing queen
The queen itself singing dancing queen
Her tone is so beautiful
I love Ryan’s face. He seems so serious, gentle, implicated not to make mistake and serve the song. Awesome cover. Delicate.
i love your face too 😬

What a sweet surprise; such a tender interpretation of the original. I'll be keeping an eye out for more music from Lizzy McAlpine 👏👏👏👏
Go listen to her album Give Me a Minute, it's great
Geez, One of the most beautiful vocal tones ever. Perfect performance all round people. A new favorite.
Hey, now that was cool. Beautifully done. I’ve heard that song 1.4 million times, but this might be the first time I’ve heard the lyrics.
Exactly! And the lyrics are wonderful.😆😆
same
Lizzy is quickly becoming one of my favorite singers. Amazing cover guys!
I never realized how great this song was until hearing this. Utterly enchanting.

Softly sung, unpretentious, and heartfelt... what more can you ask for
Another beautiful and totally original take on a great song. Regardless of the lineup, you guys always deliver, thanks ~
Wasn't sure I was going to enjoy an Abba cover - but you put a beautiful spin on it Lizzy, I love it!
This version brings a different interpretation to the song and i love it. It feels like a pov of an old person reflecting on the lost joy of being young.

So pure (and not autotuned)! Love this tender interpretation!
I subscribed to @LizzyAlpine earlier this year. Sad that I had just come across this talent, but happy she’s not going unnoticed. So HAPPY!!

She just keeps killing it over and over and over . . .

Such a meditative arrangement! Beautiful!
amazing... I love the choice of making this melancholic - it's a completely new depth to the song.

This gets my vote over the Scary Pocket version ;)
Incredible talent. This is - really - sensational work
Gotta Say I am a sucker for a good cover of this song! Love your voice!
Simply wonderful!!
I love discovering someone who I think is a brilliant cover artist, and then to discover that they have merit writing and performing their own material.
Beautifully. Like more than original❤️
I absolutely am in love with this cover. Watched it over and over. Well done!!!!
Wow, spiky hairs. This song has a soul of its own.

I was today years old when I found out this is on Spotify so naturally I listened to it on repeat eleventy billion times.
So beautifully done! Wow!
Sung like this it almost sounds reminiscent… absolutely beautiful don’t get me wrong, but it’s like somebody who’s looking back at the days they used to spend out dancing, nervous and excited about life and it’s potential.
Killer voice. Great guitar arrangement. I don't love the original song, but y'all did such an amazing job with it. Well done.
Still cannot believe how good this is. ❤
Sweet!
I like this 1000x better than the original. Thank you!
Gorgeous interpretation! What a voice! - great to see more supporting work from Ryan too - always loved his playing in Scary Pockets
lizzy is great!
what a trio, wow
I love this story, beautiful acoustic version. Was Ryan’s guitar tuned down? Sounds amazing!
I think it's a baritone guitar, tuned B-B typically!
It has flatwounds and a hot rails type pickup. It has a rubber instead of a bridge and the strings are attached to the tailpiece. Ariel has the same type of thing they sound amazing through amp.
wow, beautiful
I'm pretty sure this is her song now. great freaking cover.
Masterful vocals
Excellent vibe (and mix) on this track!
Start was a little rough, nearly clicked of the video, but I am glad I stayed. Replayed it a couple of time already.
Stunning! ...
sheesh, not this giving me a bit of chills
Yezz! More Lizzy!
Lizzy can make any song sound good
Que delícia iniciar a semana com um vídeo desses!!!

Muy bueno, felicitaciones a los tres...
Amazing voice👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Such a pretty and wonderfully natural voice
