This would fit well with the story that God had purposed that Moses would have a comfortable death. Hence Moses’s fear of the angel of death would stand against the character of God who wanted to give him a comfortable death. Hence, the term “Devil.” It’s important for us to note stories like the above are not biblical accounts but folklore and fairy tales.
