What a beautiful is hear the best singer of rock and blues, a whole Artist of voice, singing "I heard the voice of Jesus say: Satan, your kingdom must come down" ... AMEN, man !!!
I am a folk musician and singer, and until this moment I have have been wondering why nowadays out there there is no music capable of conveying the Master's intensity and grandeur. Catholic or evangelical pop music generally sounds so shallow... This moment has been a revelation, my heart's wish has been fulfilled... Robert Plant, wish I could be a part of that lucky gathering of musicians surrounding you.
That´s my prayer too! Jesus saved me many yaers ago from darkness and today I´m a pastor in service of Jesus for nearly 30 Yeahrs, eternaaly thankful! Praise the LORD!
I heard the song from the show 'Defiance' and had to look it up. With what's going on with the world right now, this is very fitting! May Jesus bring Satan's Kingdom down!
I adore the way Robert covers these old African America spiritual songs. The songs are full of 🔥 and his voice and the arrangements are just perfection.
This is awesome!! Former Led Zeppelin frontman, Robert Plant, singing "Satan, your kingdom must come down I heard the voice of Jesus say Satan, your kingdom must come down" PRAISE JESUS!!

This is so beautiful. 100 out of 10. The instrumentals were beyond gorgeous, and Robert Plant sounds as amazing as ever --- maybe even better, if I dare be so bold.
In 2010, Robert Plant formed his long awaited and renewed Band of Joy line up, featuring Buddy Miller, Patty Griffin, Marco Giovino, Byron House, Bekka Bramlett, and Darrell Scott. The group released an album in the month of September that year. The track, "Satan, Your Kingdom Must Come Down", is included on the self titled album. The song is a Traditional Gospel song from the 1930s, showcasing Plant and his band mates in the context of the Gospel Blues genre. As you listen to the live presentation above, you will undoubtedly notice that Robert Plant has matured in a profound way for him to have selected this song for the group and equally delivered it with such personal conviction. Also worth noting, are Grammy Award Winning Traditional Gospel Producer, Buddy Miller, and Artist, Patty Griffin, lending wonderful contributions towards Plant's performance with the band. Thank you, Robert Plant and the Band of Joy, for rising up against the darkness and shining for Christ with your God-given talents!
Thank you Kimberlee for all the great info. Just found another great video here with Band of Joy and a Choir singing more Gospel songs. Awesome! The gal singing with him is awesome and I guess the individual in white is Bobby Miller. Way cool! We did the song Satan Your Kingdom Must Come Down at our church. We have a good worship team leader so it was myself, him on guitar and another on electric guitar doing the solo and he was great. The people loved it. We have a good open minded conservative christian church. Bought the CD Band of Joy and love it. Since these other songs are not on that CD wish I could figure way to get them downloaded to a jump drive or on my computer. Bobby is awesome as usual!
Amen! I don't believe that in Robert Plant's past he would have ever sang anything so blatantly pro-Jesus! so, there has been some kind of change in his heart for him to sing this song (a song I sang as a young girl in the Pentecostal church). God is at work!
I am so happy Robert Plant is gradually drifting more towards a Christian belief. Hopefully he can escape Jimmy Page's satanic influence as he has tried to already on previous Led Zeppelin songs like Nobody's Fault but mine or In My Time of Dying. I do love Jimmy still but now I am more Christian leaning in recent times and see how much Satanism has infiltrated the music industry which is sad.
I heard of Robert Plant and his music when I was a teenager in 70's and for first time I see him in parson, he has aged but with same lovely voice, God Bless Him..
Awesome ! My brother Joe pizzo met Robert plant in New Jersey he became good friends with him ,Joe didn't know it was Robert because he is a born again Christian and isnt into rock music. Joe's special love him !
Satan Your Kingdom Down, The devil has been trying to destroy my relationship with God and someone special. But I am doing good and I will pray until God destroys the devils kingdom. Thank You Jesus for sticking by me.
Read somewhere that RP was raised Catholic and though this is a deeply Spirit-filled song, it doesn't necessarily mean he's accepted Christ. One can only pray for him which I constantly do, and have for many years. I remember him since probably 1970 and IMO he's one of the greatest, then and now.
+Ray Quinn What the fuck, how is it evil?? The lyrics call for Satan's Kingdom to be torn down and praise Jesus. What a bizarre comment, you're a strange little creature.
Tell me please, I really want to know. I'm 3rd year Biblical studies. I knew Led Zeppelin were devil worshipers, they do devil worship signs and he says so. Like many artists like Bob Dylan admit they made pacts with Satan. But this song looks like He heard the voice of Christ and he heard Satan's Kingdom will end. And Plant supposedly refused a reunion a couple years ago. Is the song a deception? I always hated all their music and lyrics. I had a boyfriend who was into him, disgusting lyrics, even at the age of 16 I hated this group and now.....couldn't believe this song. I must be missing something. Even if those words mean something else. It doesn't fit for me. If he said he heard the voice of Christ, does that mean something else too?
+Rhona Power Salad , I'm happy for the people who are taking it positively but I personally wouldn't feel so comfortable singing it , that's all about it
Great to hear after so many decades following Stairway to Heaven which is really about the stairway to hell in my opinion. Remember that" ...sometimes words have two meanings"
I just heard this song...& had to look it up. Really love the lyrics...& pray he means it. I...was a hard core occultist & warlock in the 70's and 80's, & after a terrifying night of seeing the devil....I left the occult and became a Christian. Amen.

That's wonderful -- definitely worth going to some time!
AMAZING!!!

@Carpe Mundo so did Peter the apostle. If there was redemption for Peter there can be redemption for Robert.
