@Club Soda I have the spdsx .. terrible horrible making l;oops in a daw and export to wave and it is out of sync in the spdsx I cant do nothing with it .
Great video, once u have assigned your tracks/samples to the pad, they just save to it dont they. U dont have to add them and have ur phone plugged in everytime u want to use it do u? Once its setup thats it, unless u change the sounds again yeh?
Thank´s for your tutorial! Could you tell me how it works the opossite way? That is: you show how to start a sample part and then play over it...but how we manage to play our drums and then start the sample part...how we set the same tempo, etc.? Thank´s in advance...
Hi, beautifully done. I'm just wandering if we need to have a computer or a phone to make it work? Or we can just use the machine by itself live? Thanks a bunch.
great video. I like your ideas with that live sampling. I actually can´t use it because I get no signal when using the audio in. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Would appreciate any help pretty much!
Don’t buy the SPD-SX because it’s Roland’s biggest failure! I’ve had the special edition sitting in the box for two years and thank god I got rid of it for a good price. You can’t just edit decent seamless loops without utilizing some sort of awkward formula. Roland could have made the SPD-SX the go-to killer machine, but company simply ignores the most requested features people are screaming and bagging for. Their customers are most unfortunate because of the lack of this. They could simply add more and better features into a firmware update to make the looping aspect better and effortless. Instead they lack any request and at least Alesis listened carefully with the release of their Strike Multipad.
I can't get enough of Jordan's creativity! And it's so well explained.
Thank you Jordan. This is ridiculously fun - just spent an hour playing with songs and samples from my phone.
damn she's a good drummer
thats such a simple and informative video! no stressing technical terms nobody could follow..!
This would be a fun thing to try while recording a track Live in the studio. Enjoyed the vid!
Fucking genius. I was wondering if I’d ever sample using the audio in. I didn’t really see any use for it till now. Thank you!
The SPDSX is my favorite toy. use it all the time.

ok, i will remember that video as my first step in sampling on spdsx. Thank you Jordan West and Reverb!
Great demo, as always, Jordan! :)
Roland you make the coolest fkn shit. I just bought the TR-8S and it's blowing my mind, although I haven't slept in a week now!
Thanks! Your video answered a question I had about adding FX to samples and learned how to live sample. Don't own this but looking to buy. Cheers!
Hi can the new SPD SX PRO split a song into pads sequentially and in one go like this SPD SX?
Good song to sample!!!!

Tried it using a guitar. So dope.
This is really helpful, thanks. Does anyone know if you can change the tempo of samples (without affecting the pitch?)

Hi, beautifully done. I'm just wandering if we need to have a computer or a phone to make it work? Or we can just use the machine by itself live? Thanks a bunch.
You could just hook up an instrument to the audio in and sample that. Or a mixer with a bunch of instruments.
This is super useful.

Awesome. Really dope
Great video, thanks for this :)
Well done!
What cable do u use for connector the phone and the spdsx?
Soooooo, how are you hooking up your iPhone to the spd-sx?
Too good.... U played awesome ...👍
What kind of cable goes from iPhone XR to audio in input? Thx
Can I live sample any thing into the SPD-SX. Such as a key board
How many pads can you loop at a time? I know on the spd30 you can loop 3 different things
Very cool and I’m like 1000
How can I adjust the tempo once I upload the sample ?
That sounds like a fantastic feature.. can you adjust it? Is it possible..?
BRILLIAAAAAAAANNNTTT
how do you delete stuff off of a pad? It just keeps adding a new kit.
What cable do you use to connect the phone to the pad?
Thanks for this!! :-)
That track guitar intro reminds me of JB give it up turn it loose
is that Betty Davis at 4:12 ?
Does anyone have been able to do that with SPD-SX PRO ?
How can I delet THAT after?
PLEASE elaborate on that kit?
