Just had to let you know.. I made several of these snowflakes and put them in my Christmas cards this year and attached a few to gifts... i also put a poem I printed in with them. I got a lot of happy friends.. They all loved them. Thanks for your easy to follow tutorials.
Wow so beautiful easy to follow your instructions being a Newbie. Your the best thank you so much you are so gift of these beautiful snowflakes. So blessed I found your tutorial's. My Family are going to receive a snowflake in the Christmas Cards I make. Again thank you your amazing.
Hi FiberSpider, I've already made about 6 of these since first watching the video. Keep pausing at the counts. Anyway......thank you so much for this one. I'm going to stiffen them and include one on each family member's gift for a keepsake. You're an angel. Blessings to you and yours. Kathy B. (Fairylady0227) 💜
@@remedy9648 So sorry for taking so long to respond. Didn't get a notification that you commented. Anyway.... I wet the snow flakes in water, then squeeze out excess water and blot them well with a towel. I then make a mixture of white glue (like Elmers) or wood glue if you have it (because it is a bit stiffer) and mix thoroughly with water. I do a 60/40 mixture, 60% glue and 40% water. Mix it very well. Soak the snowflake in it about one minute making sure all parts are covered in mixture. Then squeeze out excess mixture. Dry flat on a covered tray or plastic tray. Be sure to fully open snowflake sections and arrange how you want it to look when dry. It may take a day or two. After dry flip over and give it another day to be sure. I hope this helps. Sorry I'm so late. You can also Google or look on UA-cam. Many ways to stiffen. I prefer this one. Don't have to worry about bugs as much either when storing. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas ❤🎄❤
Kathy Brenneman thank you so much for responding, I appreciate it! I did find a similar method but it didn't give me the stiffness I needed so I'll definitely try yours. Hope you have an excellent, peaceful, love filled holiday season and New Year💜🙏🏻💜
Great pattern...TY so much Spidey...I did mine in White Sparkle Scrubby yarn. It turns out stiff because of the fibers and sparkles on the tree. Accidentally miscounted the beginning round so ended up with 7 spokes on the wheel...still works. I like to create a hanger on my ornaments so I turned, slip stitched to the ch2 sp and chained up 15 then anchored the hanging loop with a slst. Merry Christmas dear one.
Absolutely love this snowflake ❄️ thank you You take care of yourself and a speedy and full recovery xxx From Susie in England Have a wonderful Christmas xxx
