- In this video we install a new Rhodan 84" trolling motor in the 23' Seacraft center console and take it out to test it out. I give my unbias opinion of the Rhodan vs the Minn Kota on the first trip.
You can use a battery monitoring system like the Victron to show current, amps, watts, watt hours, etc, all the electrical parameters, on a dash mounted water resistant standard opening round instrument, or a larger optional display, or even better is Bluetooth it on your phone screen off an app, no reason for more screens.
That's really cool, I will look into that! Thank you
How do you like the ride of the Tracker hull compared to a potter built? There is an '85 for sale near me I been watching for a awhile
It actually seems better to me but in all fairness the 23' potter hulls I have had were cabin models so you are farther up towards the bow when driving and not an apples to apples comparison. 85' shouldn't be a Tracker though that should be a CSY and they were built extremely well! I had a 85' 18' SF and that was a great boat!
@@poseidonmarine thanks man! The one I am looking at is actually a Septer, but I got a center console cap I been holiding on to. Sounds like I should pull the trigger on it!
My water line is 39" do you recommend 72 or 84 inch shaft?
I would go 84". That's about what high height was and I'm happy I have the longer shaft. It will hold me in almost 4' seas!
Yes 84"!
What is you bow height relative to the waterline?
It is a little less than 40"
@Poseidon Marine Thank for the reply. I'm at 36" debating on going for the minkota 72" or the Rodan.
@@diyoutdoors6675 The longer shaft is nice on the rougher days. All depends on what kind of conditions you want to fish in. 84" might be overkill but I can hold a spot in 4' seas.
@Poseidon Marine Good to know, thanks for the info!
