Its so obvious how Simon tries to recreate moments with Wille by getting Marcus to watch a Horror movie. I mean that's where their first kiss happened. The boys are so meant to be for each other, even their coping strategies are the same, lol (no spoilers here). Kudos to Omar though, he does such a good acting job in this, unbelievable YR was his first role.
Simon even said "cozy" when Marcus showed him around, exactly like Wilhelm did when Simon showed him his room...

I think the moment Marcus comes to pick him up for the Ball later on asking for the fishes names, marks Simon's realization that its not the same. He's not trying to replicate anything.

He's replicating stuff unconsciously, like Wille with Felice. To see if it was the situation that caused the feelings but then realizing that it was the person and not the situation, Simon realizes that in the fish scene and keeps the names to himself to keep that moment connected to Wille.
Not meaning to criticise his acting last series but Omar’s performance this series was more self assured and he really seemed at home with it.
@@carysbarnesviola he said he felt the pressure to do it at least as good as during season 1. And I think he completely accomplished that. He clearly felt more comfortable.
It feels so unreal to feel so strongly about a TV show, but I mean come on... they're young royals! I swear to god I couldn't breathe when I finished season 2! I didn't know if I wanted to scream or cry or laugh or jump off a cliff 😭
The "We have to stay a secret for 2 years until I'm 18" is because Wilhelm doesn't have any legal power to make decisions in the Royal Family while he's underaged, so he's not in control of the situation and The Queen and the Royal Court decide everything in the end, like the decision to change schools, to make public statements and so on.
Omar said in a recent interview that he did auditions with 8 different actors during the casting of Marcus and this is the one he had the best chemistry with... And I don't see any chemistry there... Shows you how hard it is to cast chemistry and it comes just so natural to Edvin and Omar 🥰💜💜
I think we were notbsupposed to like marcus, and those two actors had the best chemistry in making it believable and natural
I'm straight and I'm so invested in Simon and Wilhelm I love them together And I love young royals I cannot wait and I'm hoping that we get a season 3 You don't know how bad I love those 2 they're so adorable together
I'm so invested in the whole Simon and Wilhelm romance, partly because the chemistry between Edvin and Omar is so amazing and pure. And I went through season 2 so quickly, that I'm glad I can enjoy their story a little longer with your reactions. Keep them coming! :)
Don't forget the exchange rate - 100 Swedish kronas (crowns) is like 9 US dollars. Still, it's a lot for a teenager and Sara doesn't have anywhere near what the rest of the boarders do. But maybe not as steep as it would have been in some other currencies 😊

I also didn’t feel anything when Simon kissed Marcus , I didn’t feel anything when felice kissed wille in the first season either . It not because I’m biased however the chemistry between Edvin and Omar is just unmatched . well done to the actors and chemistry coordinators . They don’t just have the best kisses in the show however one of the best in tv shows in general.

I really love Wille and Simon together, but I also feel like Wille has to learn to think about Simons wellbeing as well. He always talks about how Simon is the only one he can talk to and so on, but he's not thinking about how Simon is doing in all of this

Coming out on your own terms is of course super important but the queen before that says something along the lines of "if you choose to live in an unconventional relationship" or something like that, I don't like that. I think they're trying to make her not evil but not great?

"I want you to come out on your own terms" was such utter bullshit. He wanted to come out on his own terms in season 1 and she shot him down.
I think the real reason she wants him to keep this a secret until age 18 is because she thinks that coming out would mean abdicating, and she wants him to be able to make those two decisions at the same time. That just reflects a fear of having a queer person in a position of authority.
The Kit Connor analogy fits to an extent, except that once he made the decision to come out, no one tried to stop him. Personal autonomy includes the right to not come out AND the right to come out.
In a way I get the fact that Wilhem's mother is trying to protect him but that whole "you're too young to know" speech is bullshit, plus it's not her decision to make when Wilhem wants to come out

ahhhh actually, back in sometime i don't remember when but my aunt told me that when they were younger, the prince of sweden, his name is prince karl-filip, and my aunt and her friends went to boarding school with him back in like the 90s or whatever, and when she told me i as like what in the young royals happened back then so i asked my mom, and she said that there were rumors about him and some other guy back in the school, AT THIS POINT I WAS SCREAMING.

I like the Queen more this season, cause she is more supportive of him, while in the first season it seemed like she only cared about the reputation of the family and traditions. Marcus seems nice enough, but he is just not right for Simon. Sara is trying to handle being in love for the first time it seems, but she could do better than August.
