Learning others people techniques was against his saiyan pride but then again, so was falling under Babidi's mind control.

@@maw2824 I said you might need to lose than 1 gauge of HP but also you need to deal a lot of damage to trunks you can't just avoid until the end of the invisible timer. It's quite hard I had to do many attempt my advice is try to abuse your ultimate while staying safe as much as possible

I think this is actually a very sad what if, because it shows that Vegeta could have been the hero of Buu arc but he wasn't just because of his pride, the same pride that could have stopped the mind control, but the desire of surpassing Goku, born from that same pride, was just too strong

This what if is the best in my opinion, even tho I like the majin buu saga as a whole, the way vegeta gets to have a real character development without sacrifice himself or killing other people, just fits what is character came to be up until that point. He just wanted to fight goku, thats it, the whole scheme of him still having some malice in his heart and him letting babidi control him, is just a lil drugged in my opinion, that shouldnt even matter when, like I said, his only purpose in all of this years since goku died, was to have a good fight and show him the fruits of his hard years of training.
It's good that they did things like this but in this case it's wrong. Vegeta allowed himself to be manipulated by his own choice because he wanted to and he resisted Babidi's manipulation by himself.
