Excellent and you did show us patience and perseverance. Enjoy the same one, bought it when retired, couldn't afford when young. Same to my prewar sportster of 1934. A good supporting wife makes the difference!

I still got mamod steam roadster from 1978. She was £25 .25 you being back good times the another I got the roadster out and she ran very well indeed David
good video fred, ive got one in the loft along with the wagon version too that i had from new in 1977, ill have to dig them out, they probably both need work to get running again
Great restoration! Have enjoyed the videos. Just one safety point, you shouldn't microwave deionised water, as there are very few impurities the boil isn't visible as there's no particles to cause nucleation, in short the water superheats and when you take it out of the microwave it can violently explode superheated water over you. All the best, John.

Got there in the end and she runs well indeed.

I enjoyed your videos on this little Mamod car - well done sir!
Thank you
Great video mate, perseverance paid off in the end , cheers Shane
Thanks Shane. Enjoyed your Yarmouth video.
Perhaps a bit of sanding on the threads might remedy the situation.
It wasn't looking good for a while but it looks like she is gonna be OK. As for the overall restore, she looks great. Congrats on a job well done.
Thanks Andy. Yes the prev damage on that steam feed pipe hole did cause issues.

Best to look on Ebay as many parts are sold. Be warned though some of the prices are stupid high.

This is different compared to the Mamod Wilesco's first run.

Check for drive belt slipping. Remove piston lightly clean and oil bore and see if that helps.
You can buy some nice machined threaded axles for these from CJW. I've got some on mine. So much better than botching it.
I’m just about to start a restoration project on my roadster, thanks for the heads up on CJW for the axles.
