    I made a rubber wheel with a shaft to put in a drill. Very handy for starting small engines with the big flywheels.

    If you had a cordless drill or dremil with variable speed ajustment and put a rubber sanding arbor in the chuck and just ran it against the flywheel it would make easy work for starting .....just a thought .........amazing how those wee engines work

      Chuck up a skateboard wheel,or a rubber scuff eraser.

      Dremel is too fast with too little torque. Use a cordless power drill.

    I specialise in these and other pre-built model engineering. These are well built but changing the governor spring to a bic lighter spring will get you a much better display hit and miss. Other tweaks on my channel. The one to get now is the excellent Retrol / MUSA HM-01. Chinese models at the best are the equal or superior to Western models now

      Thanks for the info. I normally try to get them to run as slow as i can.

    Hey got a question about the old mamon roadster. I have one what oil can I use to lubricate it? I don’t have any special oils on hand
    just normal.

    So if its firing every stroke at low RPMs, its a 2 stroke? I noticed the exhaust closing at low RPMs, and staying open at hi RPMs, as it should. But no movement of the intake. And theres no ports at the bottom of the cylinder? 🤔

    • @UK-CB-RADIO
      @UK-CB-RADIO  24 дні тому

      Yes that makes sense. It must be 4 stroke.

      @UK-CB-RADIO you mean a 2 stroke. Without a cam, the exhaust valve would either open every rotation or stay closed every rotation, except for when it opens to keep from over reving.
      But I dont see any room for ports on the sides of the cylinder, so. I dunno. The manufacturer says its a 4 stroke, but Chinese manufactures will say anything.

    Good enough to refund the engine ? when its a legal requirement to refund something that is faulty.

    Thanks for the comments. I love playing with these little engines as well as steam models.
