I feel like showing the running attacks, jump attacks, crouch attacks, and rolling attacks would have been important. Cause some dual wield weapons have really powerful versions of those. Dual scimitars hit like 5 times on a running attack and 3 or 4 times on a jump. Which is amazing on my bleed build since they usually instant proc bleed from those alone.
I’m gonna go home and buy the game wanna do a two Wield build what’s the highest dps or dmg affect like is there poison and other stuff I’m sure there is which one is the strongest is it bleed?

I discovered powerstancing totally by accident. Been using the bloodhound fang, and randomly decided to also equip Morgotts sword, then pressed L1. Now I just can't stop using them.
For the claws you don’t need 2 separate ones, you wan actually toggle the 2 handed option and it’ll equip the other claw that’s hanging on the side you have it equipped.
Guys i havent started the game yet im trying to find a next gen console but Ive seen people play it and it seems cool and its gonna be my first souls game. Should I buy it?

What does I frames mean I keep hearing that, I use bloodhound step with a long thrusting sword I can dash out and attack from out of range of most enemies is it something to do with that?
@@louis6063 i-frames is abbreviation for invincibility frames, it is a certain amount of frames of the animation that during them your character is completely immune to damage, all dodging related animations (rolling, jumping, bloodhound step) have them and it happens that bloodhound step has the biggest amount of I frames
I realize its niche, but as an animation lover, I'd be curious to see all the weapon types and their guard parry animations. I'll also say that when looking for animations, videos with a lot of special effects or characters wearing big outfits or capes can make it hard to see all the details.

FromSoftware clearly doesn't put as much thought for western weaponry, which is understandable. Though I wish we could powerstance a straight or a thrusting sword alongside a dagger like you can with a Wakizashi and a Katana. Also, dual wielding axes needs a buff urgently, the attacks are slow, weak and not dependable.
I was really disapointed to find out that there is no moveset for rapier + dagger, and then I found the Night and Flame sword and I forgot all of my worries.

Use Golden Vow and Flame, Grant Me Strength, and your Flask of Wonderous Physick. Of course, don't forget to upgrade both Thrusting Swords of your choice equally and as high an upgrade as possible for the faith scaling that is applied to your weapon with Flame Art applied. Have fun doing ridiculous amounts of damage in a short time frame. (This is also quite effective with Greatswords, as the stagger is quite useful for getting those hits in more reliably and has better base damage than Thrusting Swords.)

It'd be awesome if this wasted less time showing off ashes of war for individual weapons and actually showed off the whole moveset like the running, rolling, jumping, and backstep attacks, not just the L1. Also, maybe a version using basic weapons for the people who don't want all of the cool weapons spoiled?
The straight sword dual wield is literally Kirito from Sword Art Online's " Starburst Stream " moves. The double slash diagonally, the two slashes horizontal and the follow up double stabs, then drawing back in and slashing from the upper left. ... I tried dual small shields and dual torches earlier today. L1 still blocks and raises torch, so no power stancing for those 2 types apparently. I don't have 2 great shields yet so i can't test that combination
Apparently you can do power stance with Pickaxe (Hammer) and Greataxes, but not Pickaxes with other Hammers, IDK why there's exception like that and I'm sure there's more.
Best power stancers are hands down curved swords including the jump and running attacks of course. Twinblades are close second due to the same running and jumping 4 hit combo. Worst is probably hammers. You do not expect much from them of course but what kills them is the after roll animation. Also instead of spinning the cam around and going into the ring style moves, straight movesets including the jump attacks could have been included in the same time frame. But this is great effort, no bs talking and content is just what the title says. Thanks.

We've done this before and it's an insta level 40. Then from there I will use the raya lucaria shortcut to get into the boss fight with 2 friends and take it out then trade it to my main. Will be much faster than NG+ for me because I don't intend on doing that for a while
I wonder what moves dual great-swords would have if they were depicted accurately in terms of manuverability since the Souls series has often depicted great-swords as clunkier weapon's than in real life
a rapier is a type of thrusting sword, a lance is a type of heavy thrusting sword. For example an estoc is a thrusting sword but would not be classed as a rapier.
I really appreciate the power stancing mechanic. But im really disappointed at the amount of movesets that make both weapons attack simultaneously rather than in quick succession. The pace of the attacks just looks so artificially sluggish. Like the character knows very well that they could attack faster but chooses not to.
Guys I have a problem: how do you activate dual wielding? If I have 2 weapons in my hands and I press R1 the character uses only the right one and if I press L1 only the left one. I still haven't figured out how to use them simultaneously. Thank you
I really like using radahns colossal swords in a power stance. Cause you still get massive damage both swords swing at the same time does a great ash of wat attack that's a 2 parter and you can still block

I think the thrusting swords impressed me.
It's basically the corvian claws and rapier from dark souls 3 but even more improved! It was already my favourite moveset in that game.

Daggers due to sheer speed. I run dual daggers and they proc bleed on the 4th or 5th hit of the combo which is only like 2 button presses.
Dual twinned swords jumping attack hit 4 times,on high bleed builds it mostly procs instantly
Highest hit attack is Jumpin attack of curved swords. Actual attack combos is probably daggers.
Basically for the books: If it has two stikes hit at once its hell good.

Yup. Wakizashi can powerstance with katanas and only katanas, it Can’t powerstance with other daggers

If you are doing a bleed build I highly suggest powerstancing twinblades. The jump attack does 4 hits and its very easy to get bleed with them

That spinning dodge is the blood rapiers combat art.
The backstep spinning slash is called "Dynast's Finesse" and is the Bloody Helice's weapon art.

Hey we technically have shorter term for heavy thrust sword, a lance.
Thrust sword, is a rapier.
a rapier is a type of thrusting sword, a lance is a type of heavy thrusting sword. For example an estoc is a thrusting sword but would not be classed as a rapier.

I really appreciate the power stancing mechanic. But im really disappointed at the amount of movesets that make both weapons attack simultaneously rather than in quick succession. The pace of the attacks just looks so artificially sluggish. Like the character knows very well that they could attack faster but chooses not to.

Guys I have a problem: how do you activate dual wielding? If I have 2 weapons in my hands and I press R1 the character uses only the right one and if I press L1 only the left one. I still haven't figured out how to use them simultaneously. Thank you

I really like using radahns colossal swords in a power stance. Cause you still get massive damage both swords swing at the same time does a great ash of wat attack that's a 2 parter and you can still block
