I once had an Adam student mention that a double buzz was an indication that the body was approaching being in phase with the horn, and to best thing to do is to hear the sound out front more intensely. Did Charley or Mr. Adam indicate something similar to you?

John Daniels has a great scale exercise for this. I will occasionally get this from overblowing. Thanks J 🎺

Dude! Thank you for answering my question! And here I thought you forgot! I do not have that book in my library but I can see about getting it. I have done "lip bends" before so I can apply it even without the book. I assume with this exercise there is a specific targeted working of your embouchure that creates a more controlled response? I have been wood-shedding it for the past 3 months and it has gotten better, but still rears its ugly head sometimes. Thank you again and I will see if I can get ahold of the gentleman you mentioned for a lesson!

Hey there! Yeah, lots of questions in that survey and trying to get to one per week! I saw your email and I will reply later, when I have more time!

Yeah I get that almost weekly but doesn’t last very long. Started the pitch bending Schlossberg thing a couple weeks ago and seems to help. Might be too early to tell. John Daniel at Lawrence University is a big proponent of this.

I’m not familiar with him, I’ll have to check it out! Mr. Adam was also a proponent of this, depending on the person…
