This is definitely a much better demonstration. The other games I was just thinking "couldn't they have mined 100 gold and gone feudal?" Those players seemed more caught off guard by cisterns buffing villagers than anything. Here, the Japanese player responded well and took almost no damage early.
Yet, they ended up contained. Forced to go on farms early, and not really knowing what the Bzyantine player is doing. Did they drop a second TC behind it? Are they rushing up to castle? Massing a feudal push? I could see it being real tough to gage.
Shinobis did help early, but I wonder if the kura storehouse would have been better overall to help get food going. Probably was too greedy to do 2TC and castle first, but he didn't know what jabuticaba was doing behind it so a real tough call.

that was brutal, it reminds me of hoang from aoe2 with unconventional hyper aggressive strats. Maybe early Samurai, starting with barracks immediately could have work. The thing is who is going to think that type of offensive is viable xD.

Greedy 2TC castle age. Especially vs a feudal all in. He should've scouted that army massing up.
