Credits to DeMu, If im not mistaken. He posted a video of him playing this vs Vortix as Juicy Monk strat. I can assume that Vortix is trying it for himself here. Quite crazy opening.
It can even be better: put villagers from sheep on berrie's instead, he needs the house anyway, use the additional 50 gold for wheelbarrow, they harvest 25% more berries, increased movement speed, gives you 3 gold for every 13 stone per villager. after 10 runs for each villager you get back the gold cost and have 130 extra stone just because of that. Also leaves your sheep under tc if you play vs english or for later in the game. But I mean, its vortex, I'm just a gold II player.
You fall short of 20g gold since you only mine 650 stone (= 130gold). You could however mine 20g with 2 of the 5 stone vills (3 build forge at stone/2mine 20g). You would however need another 25w to construct an additional house. Considering the prolonged age-up timing (you need to mine an additional 30g through stone), you could allocate 2/3 workers on straggler tree earlier to get the 25w in earlier. Considering the time between 2nd TC and finishing age up (about 30seconds) it could work that your 2nd TC isnt delayed. I haven't tested it, it would definitely require a lot of optimization and juggling of villagers. In that sense the presented BO seems much easier.
VortiX could have saved all the stone and upgraded the second TC right after feudal age, but wouldn't get the 25% on the farm placement. 2 TC, with a feudal age up at 5:30 seems pretty fast. idk.
Also, realistically, 25% improved farms takes quite a while once you are feudal anyway. If he used that wood for the TC for farms, including the 1 free farm from the storehouse, he'd have 6 (and a half) farms. In my opinion, rushing food this much as the Japanese doesn't make much sense. I have played about 20 games as the Japanese now, and I am never low on food with any build order. Normally I go early Daimo so I can use the 'knight' for early aggression as its very strong, but tbh, as a more defensive/greedy build, this 2nd TC comes almost as fast as my knight, so that, in my opinion, is stronger.
He was never pronouncing it incorrectly. Words can have different pronunciations based on the region. As an example consider the word "garage". Brits pronounce it differently than Americans, and that's okay.
Funny, I was talking to my buddy about different Japanese build orders yesterday and he said he was going to try 5 on stone. Looks like it’ll work haha
How do you beat a Japanese melee onlaught like this? I've fought an opponent that did that with one TC, many barracks, and a composition like that, and my Rus knights + archer comp, in even number, couldn't match the fight. Mangonels were being made, but not ready yet. What can you do? They seem to just win.
How do you make the Ayyubid mangonels use their fire ability on console? I have seen it used, and explored every possible control/ability/tech playing the Ayyubids, but I cant seem to get it to flame on. Anyone know?
Drongo.. what do you think ab the dragon civ? i think its the best late game civ.. best eco by far. I'd like to see someone play it for late game.. i think its gonna be stupid strong. the vils are powerhouse.. 140 civs is insanely strong + they have insane archers that can deal with even men at arms and knights
This opening build order makes a uma bannerman+shinobi timing attack totally viable now that I think about it. My reason for thinking this could be strong is simply the shinobi can sabotage the enemies first barracks, giving you at least another 30 seconds to idle the enemy and raid with the uma bannerman before the enemy can start playing the game again, in addititon to the costs your enemy incurs shhobi proofing their base, the shinobi having serious advantage against spearmen, and he isn't forbidden from doing damage too.
@@john66687 Shinobi do 25 damage to the spear with 80 health, and attack faster. Spearmen do 7 damage to the shinobi with 80 health. At the time where the shinobi gets its fourth attack out, the spear should be on its third. If your shinobi are losing to single spearmen I don't know what to tell you, it should be ending with nearly 75% HP.

I thought going stone was how people had been opening because of the gold and TC upgrades or going fast 2TC.
I hope this will be the meta and there is 1 pro player who can never do it
can we say that he only did it cause he was facing abassid variant? Abassid have a timing that start little slow
