    VIDEO SUMMARY:
    --------------------
Join career expert and award-winning author Andrew LaCivita on, The 4 Sentence Cover Letter That Gets You The Job Interview. You'll learn exactly how to write the cover letter that gets you the job interview!
The modern-day cover letter is your introduction-of any kind-to the employer.
There are essentially three ways this occurs:
    1. Cover Letter
    2. Email (with attached resume)
    3. Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Your “cover letter” has three goals:
    1. Explain why you’ve contacted the employer.
    2. Provide insight on who you are and what you offer.
    3. Show enthusiasm and interest in hearing (back) from the employer.
You can accomplish these three goals in four sentences, which I discuss in the video. You can also grab the free download to see the exact format!

This video showed up “randomly” but I do believe it was meant to be that I viewed it! I loved how concisely you presented the information; you’re exactly right everyone is moving so fast that they can’t think straight so brevity combined with clarity and conciseness is the most effective formula. I subscribed based on this one video! My situation is so dire; I can’t pay rent or anything so I have to find a job immediately. So thank you for this video!!

Thanks, Andrew. I am writing a cover letter for the first time as I am in my last semester of college studying Industrial engineering and have begun to apply and network with more companies in person, Linkedin, etc. in order to find a full-time position after graduation. I feel like I have created a solid resume and then the thought that I also need to write a cover letter came to mind. I was stressed at first as I spent a lot of time articulating my experiences already in my resume and want to follow up with recruiters I meet yesterday asap. However, from your video I realize it is truly not that complicated, and keeping it short and simple is the best way to approach it.

I literally have never seen a cover letter before. People always talk about resumes but never this. My cover letter was so bad and I didn’t even know it. My resume is perfect. My cover letter may actually be the problem smh.
