Hello Majorkill, Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
Once again I'm humbly requesting a proper theory video on perturabo. He's probably about to come up in the lore due to a deal with vashtor. One bouncing off of your idea that he dreadnaughted himself with a soulgrinder hence the demonic appearance
The White Scars weren’t the only Legion whose loyalty to their Primarch overrode their loyalty to the Emperor, but they’re the only one in which such a loyalty actually kept them on the side of the Imperium. If any of the other loyalist Primarchs sided with Horus, they would have to deal with a very large amount, if not a majority of, their Legions who stayed loyal to the Imperium. But the White Scars were probably the most unified (at least in loyalty to their Primarch) Loyalist Legion during the Crusade.
@@Logan-xl6ylthis is true, but they’d still be extremely loyal to the Emperor because Russ was very loyal to his father. This is more true than Jaghatai Khan who didn’t like his father as much as some of his loyal brothers did, but understood that he was the best hope for humanity.
nah, as impossible as it is, the dark angels would 100% turn traitor, or at least sever themselves from the imperium, if the Lion decided it would be so. They nearly assassinated Sanguinius in the HH before the Lion changed his mind.
You forgot to mention the Lunar Wolves were closest legion to the Scars. Pretty much the only legion who liked the Scars. Goes a long way to explaining why so many of them sided with Horus without extra context.
There's also that one named traitor space wolf who i'm pretty sure died since an aircraft crashed on him. His reason for turning traitor was something a long the lines of "I do the emperor's work and he remains silent, but I do the work of chaos and they reward me for my efforts."
There's been a handful of them. I remember the one you're refering to, he was chased by Harold Deathwolf, however he was post heresy, and there's been a LOT of chapters that have fallen since then.
I remember funny story about some guy theorizing about "Why Ultramarines Company may sided with Horus?" question and he guessed that "Maybe Guilliman forgot to 'update their orders' (which were 'Horus is a Warmaster, so listen to his orders as you would to my own') after Horus turned traitor, so poor guys followed him into damnation as 'loyal soldiers of Warmaster'"
There was at least one noteworthy Iron Hands traitor from the Horus Heresy, much like the two examples from the Raven Guard. Oresk Torgoll was an Iron Hands survivor of the Drop Site Massacre but was captured by the World Eaters and had the Butcher's Nails implanted. He then began to hate both his Primarch and original legion for abandoning him to this fate, and he now has joined the World Eaters and is an active Chaos Lord for his new legion.

Just embrace the warp and train up all your people against Chaos and storm thier weak, dumb pathetic realms... and ally with the Silent King. PYLONS baby!

I read a war of the beast novel and a traitor and loyalist ship joined forces to escape a ln orc moon and the loyalist captain knelt to the traitor at the end but i cant remember which legion they both were
It was an Imperial fist Successor and an Iron Warriors Warband. They agreed to fight together then just go in opposite directions and both wanted to but some Imperial Space Marines said 'no you have to kill them, or be traitor yourself'. Not wanting to break their word since the Iron Warriors weren't breaking theirs they joined them.
That's good. But with the Lion back and proving that the majority of the fallen are uncorrupted and now forgiven, I wouldn't be surprised if the Dark Angels started getting a lot more chill about the remaining Fallen.
@shushnik to be fair, if they are still alive after 10,000 years (I know, warp fuckery) and still ain't tainted then they are probably the most hard-core anti chaos space marines around.

There was a black dragon that was adopted by the salamanders, and maybe you could say that warsmith dantioch was sorted of adopted by the ultramarines or the imperial fists depending on how you look at it
Dark Wolves caught my interest and were my primary interest, as I knew of no Space Wolves going traitor during the Heresy, but I've also not read all the books yet. Either way after looking them up there is next to nothing about them. It did bring up a thought though. Maybe a video focusing on each loyalist legion and what drives them, generally speaking, to turn traitor. For example the Wolves are an interesting blend, by character a clear choice. Yet the Emperor had faith in them (or Russ more specifically) and had a greater hand in dictating their fate than most other legions. After all it's by the Emperor's Decree Fenris stayed a tribal death world. The tectonic instability and irregular orbit causing seasonal hell were fixable at the time of Russ' discovery.
Should make a Part II about the non-Marine factions. Think you talked about SoB who got tortured, but I’d love to hear about traitor Navigator houses, traitor Titan legions, traitor Knight ahouses, etc.
Worth noting that many of the Renegade chapters were originally loyalist, but disagreed in some manner with imperial doctrine. Many of those would later be corrupted to chaos, such as the Brazen Beasts, Flawless Host, The Scourged, and The Purge.
Hey Majorkill, is there any lore of actual space marines/astartes ever turning towards the Gene Stealer Cults? I can understand if a mere human was able to fall, but what about someone as steadfast and loyal to the glory of the emperor?

Hold on, are you sure it was an entire Great Compnay that turned traitor? Im not so sure about that one chief. I know of the Dark Wolves but im not sure it was originally an entire compnay, but maybe a standard warband size. Gonna have to read up on that one again.
Yeah, the Codex they're mentioned in doesn't say they're from the heresy either, just they have access to older tech. Plus even if it was a whole company from the space wolves that would still be fewer chaos renegades than the percentage of fallen who were actually tainted from the dark angels legion
GW should commission a book about Skyrar's Dark Wolves and have the narrative flip back and forth between the Heresy era how they fell and the current setting what they're like now
Honestly, Imperial Fists being “too resistant” is more dull than cool. I’d love a salamander traitor “ I cared for them, I saved them each militarum operative as treasured as an Soace marine in my eyes. But what did my scarred flesh and murdered brothers show for it? Nothing but death and destruction. I sought salvation from this cycle of suffering and I found it.”
I was thinking it would be interesting if majorkill did a video about the idea of "what if one of the 4 chaos gods turned good and how that would impact the setting." Like if Khorn decided to focus on true honor in a fight and honesty rather than just carnage and war. Or If Slanessh, however unlikely it would happen, decided to change from drug, sex, rock n roll and BDSM, and focused on just the pure emotions of pleasure and love or something like that.
Probably the other 3 gods would team up and run a train on the other god, one switching sides would ruin the great game. I rather see more imperial demons.
Idk, seems interesting on paper but it just makes 0 sense. It's like asking what if Guilliman suddenly switched to the nids side and became a genestealer on purpose? The only reason I could think of is a chaos god is somehow killed and the warp spaghetti associated with that god coalesce into a more positive being to replace the previous one but that's a BIG stretch
Chaos gods aren't evil because they want to, they are a reflection of how things are going in the galaxy, so for example even if Khorne was "good" he'd still be shaped into the whole murder massacre blood stuff because of all the war and deaths happening, morphing him into it
Hey major man, could we get a video on who tf Haarken worldclaimer is please? I know he works with/for abaddon but beyond that I know nothing about the bloke
@@JJJBunney001 yeah aright fair call on that. Though I can see both sides to it. Even once the chapter went renegade, there was the struggle within between the loyalists and the traitors.
Great subject on this one Majorkill. I think you missed a big Ultramarine Successor traitor though. Wasn’t the Flayer from the nightlords originally Guilliman stock?
Absolutely every legion/chapter from every Primarch had traitors and chaos corruption at one point. Cawls also point that out when Guilliman still doesn't want Primaris with perfectly pure geneseeds from traitors legions.
Can anyone explain to me the who what and why of the “bow to me” figurine ending segment, I’ve seen it hundreds of times now and I still have literally no idea
If this list is just from the Horus heresy I agree but if it's from the total lore then you missed quite a few, the Raven guard (who's name escapes me) that ran with Warsmith Honsou, the Ultramarine successor chapter named the Avenging Sons, the Blood Angel scout who fell to Slaanesh in the bloodquest graphic novels and many others. Not forgetting Huron Blackheart either 😉 Good stuff none the less 👍
This video is specifically about the Horus Heresy since it is regarding traitors from loyal Legions. Any Space Marines that went traitor after the Heresy would have been from Space Marine Chapters, either whole Space Marine Chapters such as the Astral Claws (Red Corsairs) and Crimson Sabers (Crimson Slaughter), a company or smaller unit such as Adharon's Reavers (former Sons of Guilliman) and Red Wolves (Space Wolves that joined the Red Corsairs), or individual Space Marines becoming traitors such as Oneius Prayd (former Red Scorpion captain who joined the Red Corsairs), Haxan the Defiler (former Crimson Fist captain who also joined the Red Corsairs), and Ardaric Vaanes (former Raven Guard captain who joined the Red Corsairs before then later joined Warsmith Honsou).

Chaos gods aren't evil because they want to, they are a reflection of how things are going in the galaxy, so for example even if Khorne was "good" he'd still be shaped into the whole murder massacre blood stuff because of all the war and deaths happening, morphing him into it
Idea:
The incorruptible who were corruoted. (i.e. members of organizations said to be incorruptible who fell to Chaos.)
There was a traitor blood angel known as Zeravael. He left his legion during the heresy and still loves today as a posessed sorcerer
Hey major man, could we get a video on who tf Haarken worldclaimer is please? I know he works with/for abaddon but beyond that I know nothing about the bloke
There are the Foetid Seraphim, blood angels who were corrupted. Didn't happen during the horus heresy but still
There is one blood angel that turned traitor. He gets killed in the fighting pits by khan
Thanks
Me really bitching about necron again
Yup let's just forget about the Soul Drinkers hey.
He's done a video on them, this video isn't about renegade chapters
@@JJJBunney001 yeah aright fair call on that. Though I can see both sides to it. Even once the chapter went renegade, there was the struggle within between the loyalists and the traitors.

Good video
NO ONE SAY DARK ANGELS
Not heresy era but there is a salamander that falls to chaos in the Tome of Fire Trillogy.
Was lured in by that awesome Khornate Imperial Fist on the thumbnail. Was disappointed.
Life in a chaos cult pls
Id love to see a vid on Zabriel
Great subject on this one Majorkill. I think you missed a big Ultramarine Successor traitor though. Wasn’t the Flayer from the nightlords originally Guilliman stock?
This was about the heresy, not any successor chapters. Successor chapters of every legion have had some fallen to chaos.
No the Flayer was a Red Corsair and nobody know there lineage
The Fist Exemplars fell 1500 yrs later during the War of the Beast. Went bro mode with a force of I. Warriors
Month 40 of asking for a penitent crusade video
Can you do a Video about Legions of Votann?
A video recommending 5 40k novels to someone new to the media would be dope.
Not forgetting Huron Blackheart either 😉
Good stuff none the less 👍
