I don't know the reason Hidden Move system was removed in Gen 7. No wonder when I played Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, you don't need to make Pokémon learn such hidden move to activate it.
The inconvenience of HMs is the reason why they remove it. Who in the right mind to remove one of your valuable team member for an HM Slave, just for you to traverse a certain area in the game? Even worse that in Sinnoh Victory Road, it needs *5 HMs* to access to the Victory Road. There are bunch of hard battles there, including Marley ones in the post-game.
@@naturalharmoniagropius4486 I can see it, Victory Road needs so much Hidden Machines that had to remove some other moves to make a room for moves that have hidden machines. Although some moves with hidden machines are also strong like Fly, Surf, Waterfall, Strength.
@@joseruborio they were a clever decision in Gen 1 when there were only 5 HMs and Pokemon learned 2 worthwile moves by level up if they were lucky while TMs were limited 1 per save file. In Gen 1, Fly, Strength and Surf were in the top 3 moves of their respective typing in base power so were great filler moves as they could be taught without limit unlike TMs. Surf was the defacto best water move for the longest time until Scald. HMs gave Pokemon presence outside the battle screen on the limited Gameboy. However, instead of addressing the fact that Pokemon movepools got better making it harder to slot HMs, they introduced more until the system was so unwieldy and hated by players they just removed it. The way Legends Arceus handles move pools could probably allow them to bring back HMs; where a Pokemon retains all learned moves that can be swapped with the active 4 outside of battle anytime.
missed opportunity to not showcase the Flying Taxi in Wyndon where you can see the animation of it flies also the cutscene where you first traveled through the Isle of Armour
Hi I was sure I was missing something about those but although I did forgot I checked and they were short so it's not a big problem. However it's a mistake so unfortunate. Maybe in the future. Fly, strenght , surf the only Hm we need. Dive and waterfall aren't bad but we rarely use these hm.
