Hey I remember building a deck around that Forretress card back in the day because I found that attack amusing and you actually can make it do a considerable amount of damage if you use Forretress G the SP card and various SP cards to search them. You also could use the Bellossom that was in this video to heal some of the damage the Forretress take.

Spiritomb's "B Cancel" attack is indeed a reference to pressing B to cancel an evolution in the Main Series Pokemon games. What Mikey failed to notice, however, is the effect of the card, which prevents your opponent from evolving their active pokemon during their next turn. You could think of it as when my brother B Cancelled my shiny rayquaza and released it from its box
Also, Everyone Explode Now is a reference to Everybody Dance Now.
You should note, a Cradily's tentacles are also tender.

I’m like, a year late to this video, but Counting Song, especially on Duskull, may be based on the story of Okiku, a serving girl who was killed while searching for her master’s missing tenth precious plate, and every night climbed out of the well she was dumped into and counted to nine, before screaming instead of counting the tenth. Anyone who heard her counting would become ill, and anyone who heard her scream would die.
What happens if you help her look for it?

7:41 I don't know if Mikey was joking or not, but just in case he wasn't, "Machine Gun Headbutt" means that the pokemon uses headbutt multiple times so fast that its like a machine gun firing off many rounds of bullets in a short amount of time. It didn't refer to the gun itself, but rather the speed at which the gun can fire off attacks. Same with "Machine Gun Stomp".
I feel then those moves should be translated to “Rapid Fire Headbutt” and “Rapid Fire Stomp”
In the very early days of the TCG, there was a deck revolving around putting the opponents pokemon to sleep, and using Do The Wave. This deck is the reason Stadium cards exist.

Actually, Bullet Seeds translation is literally “Seed Machine Gun”.
Machine gun works as a metaphor of repeated attack performed rapidly in Japanese. IDK why not for English natives.
@@mslabo102s2 it does for us too. Sometimes we say "rapid fire" instead but "machine gun" is not uncommon. It's just localization teams being overly prissy and deciding that "machine gun" is some how bad for children.
