Cosby was a fool. As if Denise was anything responsible. The girl was trouble the entire first three seasons of The Cosby Show and Season 1 of this show so why not have her get pregnant? Such a dumb move to remove her and a potentially good storyline to kick off Season 2 after a laid-back and tame first season.
@ Denise was poorly written from the start of the show. She was a boring character in that world. Having to create a fictional storyline around the situation of one of the actors would have only hampered the creative process. Getting rid of her and exploring the lives of more interesting characters was the right thing to do. That storyline had no potential. You are the fool. If Denise was "boring" then a pregnancy storyline would have helped shape things up and a way to kickstart her way to being interesting. It wouldn't have hampered a thing because they had something already in the motion to work with and could just build from there. Lisa was also going through it in real-life so she could learn/relate so much and her personal feelings would show through her acting as no better acting since this isn't something she has to "put on" for sure but is actually REAL for her. How is removing her to explore the lives of the other characters any sense when they literally threw in like four new characters who wouldn't have been there had she not left? Most of those new characters were replacements anyway, so things would have been fine if Lisa remained. Get bent.

The fans are ridiculous. They thought the newer cast of Seasons 5 and 6 should have had their OWN show altogether? What sense would that make given the college setting of this show? If anything, it's the long-running characters who graduated from Hillman and going about their adult lives that need their own show. This show is about Hillman and thus requires a revolving door of new characters every few years. Besides, did the fans forget we had that done in Season 2 with the new characters THEN? We lost quite a few people even then including the original lead (Denise), so why is doing this again years down the line an issue? If the show by Season 2 taught you anything, it's not to get use to these characters for too long because ANY of them can go and new ones will simply come and take their spot.
The show got cancelled because no more Cosby as a lead in show, falling ratings, and No. 1 ‘The Riot Episode’. Newt works were getting pissed At ‘message episodes’ in black shows. The show ‘True Colors’ on Fox got cancelled because of an episode where the two brothers were falsely arrested for stealing in a hardware store, ‘Roc’ was cancelled for an episode where Roc was arrested for being in an all white neighborhood. Why do you think ‘Living Single’ and ‘Martin’ never had those kinds of episodes?
Different world the two main characters they got rid of and ended the show was Jalisa and Sinbad. Julissa was one of the main characters in different world create Sinbad character was more like a father figure of the show
