Man...this is the very first time that I heard Miles Davis for any extended period of time. When I first heard of him was a time when I came across a recording he released titled Portia....That one instrumental is so majestically beautiful that that I placed it on my Crem de la Creme music playlist; it's a masterpiece. After I finally purchased the whole "Tutu" CD that it was on, I was absolutely blown away with it. Another masterpiece from that same CD gives me goosebumps. It's titled Backyard Ritual. Look them up. Well, I could say more, but this will do. Rest on Power Mr. Davis....Thank you for sharing your incredible talents with the world.

This wasn't a "feud". How can it be said that someone who established a LANE, who had the amount of versatility in doing so many various styles EXCELLENTLY, as Miles did. Someone who inspired so many others, and has the Legacy that Miles has.. Why would that man need to be "feuding" with someone else.??? Miles came up playing with everyone, and was tutored by Dizzy and other greats. Miles brought his trumpet to the scene after the Great Louis Armstrong.. Miles did his thing. and worked with so many other blessed horn players, from Bird, Coltrane.. and so on. There were NO "feuds" there. So, along comes Wynton (& i ain't mad at him, i love the Marsalis family.. especially Brandford).. But you can't just jump in another man's lane, and on one occasion Miles' stage.. and think you got it like that. You have to come with a level of respect, and show you're paying homage (that's what Miles did with those before him).

Fred Williamson, Gordon Parks, Sidney Poitier, Spike Lee and Denzel Washington all took creditable turns in the Director's chair. Glad to say everyone one of these artistically inclined gentlemen have been blessed with a wonderful and successful life inspite of the thumbnail scourge!!!

I don't care what others may think of this woman, Gladys has always shown class. She deserves all the accolades she's received. Ms. KNIGHT can sing.....still. Thank you Darlin' for all the years of superb entertainment.
