Thanks for posting this. This video is a godsend because I was getting a bit to granular with all the nuances and photography dynamics, but you summed it all up by using a big picture and visual approach. You are a gifted with the ability to relay complex subject matter in a conversational manner. Now off to buy the R10 :)
So I’ve owned a semi-high-end mirror reflex camera once and did not understand a thing but it gave me better pictures than my phone at the time so… now I’m considering getting one again and been looking at the R10 and this video that popped up on my feed is perfect. One of the best tutorials no matter the topic… thank you 😊
Just commenting to say I've been shopping for a camera for a few weeks having a hard time deciding exactly what I want for my budget. I've watched countless videos now and yours are by far my favorite. I wish you wild success 🙏 you deserve it!
Just got my Canon EOS R10 and I am very glad I found your channel you explained a lot of stuff in a short period of time. I'll be back to watch again and more of your videos. Thank You!
I just got a solid deal on the R10 for $499 Canon refurbished, and was wondering if I shouldve gotten the R7. The more I learn from videos like this the more I realize that the R10 really does cover my needs for the foreseeable future. Love how light the RF-S lenses are. I have the 55-200 on the way. The 18-150 will be my next purchase since I have the stock 18-45 included. Many thanks!
Love this video, seriously berthing about this is perfect, never ever had a real camera other than my phone and my friend gave me his r10 for a cheap price and I had no clue how to use it. Still learning and watching videos bud this is the best. Thank you so much
Dang, 2 minutes in and you explained things better than two other R10 "beginner" videos I sat through and was still confused. And one was 7 hours long!!

Great video. I’m considering buying the Canon EOS R10 for black Friday. Should I go with the 18-45mm lens or 18-150mm lens? Using the camera for wildlife, portraits, nature.
Hi! I recently bought a Canon EOS R10 with the RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens. I’m experiencing an issue where my photos appear cropped when I view them on my phone or computer. Could you recommend a lens that might help me capture full-frame images without cropping them afterward? Thank you in advance!
Hey! Watched loads of your videos - so good that you convinced me to get an R10! What would you recommend for photo editing? Have seen a few of your videos and can’t make up my mind. I’m not a particularly experienced photographer but it would be nice to learn about editing and have a go 👍🏻
Hello! I've been watching your videos for the past 2 days now. I've been rewatching them over and over to get the hang of the lingo (first dip into photography but im primarily a graphic designer) and while I can't thank you enough for how up to speed I feel now, I have a pretty basic question. I'm considering the R10 but I'm a bit confused if I should get the bigger lens in the kit for it or to only get the body and opt for a different lens/adapter you mentioned in a few videos. Suggestions? This will be a hobby/family camera with speedy toddlers as well as maybe a dip into videos and vacation landscape.
Hello. From what it sounds like I would recommend the 18-150 kit lens as it's a pretty good all around lens. In the future if lean real heavy into a specific type of photography or videography you could always get a more specialized lens. Hope that helps.
I tried a bunch but none are as smooth and easy to use as lightroom. The closest would be Raw Therapee, dark table & gimp. For layout and design for sure canva is my favorite.
Hello, I have a fairly new Eos Rp. I'm thinking of buying an R10 for both the new af system and the crop factor for bird photography, do you think it makes sense to sell the Rp and buy the R10 for this reason? And can I shoot anything with it, including nature, landscape, street, bird, wildlife? Thanks.
Hi, can you please confirm the main camera and lens for this video where you seat behind the table? Is this Canon R with 18-35 Sigma with Viltrox or Canon adapter? Thank you.
@@BoReynolds What you can do is find a png image of "the rule of thirds" and just put it on your timeline. If the PNG file has a transparent background then you won't need to do anything else. If the background isn't transparent you can try and adjust the composite mode and that may fix it up but the best would be a png that is transparent.

Killer breakdown for dummies bro! Helped me out so much!
Awesome! Glad it was helpful.
Is this camera good in Low Light sports photography?
As an entry level camera it can hold it's own. Once you reach it's limitations you could always sell it for a more advanced body like the R7 or R8
Good down to earth explanation of the functions 👍👍👍
Thanks!

If you stop down your aperture you will have a deeper depth of field. Meaning more will be in focus. Try F8 & see if that fixes things for you.

Great video. I’m considering buying the Canon EOS R10 for black Friday. Should I go with the 18-45mm lens or 18-150mm lens?

Not sure why they look cropped? You should be able to see them the way you saw them in camera
Hey I saw another video if you go through the settings you should see 3:2 16:3 so on so fourth use 3:2 for pictures not to be cropped
Great, do you have one for the R7.
Yes, but it's pretty much the same as the cameras work the same.
Hi could you please recommend the best third-party lenses to use with adapter on the R10? ❤
I really like the Sigma 18-35

Brah, I appreciate all this info holmes. Got me thinking on buying this camera now. What you think about the R7 for photography more than video?
Thanks! First and foremost it's a stills camera before video so I'm sure it will do great.

Glad you like it!

Does this camera have the focus bracket feature the r7 has?
Yes it does have focus bracketing.
