OFF GRID HORSE BOX CAMPER AND COFFEE TRAILER MADE FROM 100% RECLAIMED MATERIALS / SUSTAINABLE LIVING

A CUSTOMER CAME TO US TO HAVE THIS AWESOME OFF GRID HORSE BOX CAMPER, COFFEE TRAILER AND TEACHING SPACE FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVING. THEY NEEDED THE HORSE BOX TO BE OFF GRID FOR FESTIVAL LIFE, HAVE A CAMPER ELEMENT SO THEY COULD LIVE IN IT AND ALSO HAVE AMPLE SEATING FOR GIVING TALKS ON SUSTAINABLE LIVING. OUR WORK WAS CUT OUT FOR US ON THIS OFF GRID HORSE BOX AND THEN WE DECIDED TO ADD THE EXTRA TASK OF BUILDING THIS ENTIRE PROJECT OUT OF RECLAIMED MATERIALS TO KEEP TO THE SUSTAINABLE ETHOS.
This of grid horse box was a challenge to say the least, sourcing materials is somewhat harder when you can’t just pop and buy them off the shelf or order them online. Then it’s hard enough to build a camper van when the odd piece of new wood comes warped, but when every piece of timber you use is so bent out of shape you could use it for the bottom of a boat it makes things even more interesting. Every piece of wood needs to be machined to make it usable enough o build the horse box conversion, but also not so much it takes away all its rustic looks.

Looks very good mate, why didn't they have the doors going up to the top and do away with the plastic?
I like the Hessian roof liner you did bloody good getting that to look so neat

The idea behind the doors was if it’s a warm night they can have the plastic rolled up and let a breeze through with the doors shut for privacy.
The roof turned out way better than I expected.
